Dear reader, sharing this book makes me feel oddly vulnerable, probably because this book has turned into a bit of a love letter to my hometown and to my childhood. After impulsively deciding to send out a few query letters, I know this story is not ready to be finished- even after three years in the works, but I would love for it to reach some people. I'm well aware this book is far from perfect, but I hope that you can see it the way I do.
Maybe some small-town, baseball-loving, kids need this story as much as I did- I hope it makes you feel at home, and give you an escape from your own town for a while.
I hope you all enjoy,
S.
