Beep! Beep! Beep!
I rolled over and groaned, 6:00 am, for what it feels like for the one thousandth time. My feet hit the cold and hardwood floors. "Hmm, what to wear?" I groaned and reached over and snatched my phone off its charger dialing the number I knew by heart.
Ring! Ring! Ring! I heard the click and smiled when I heard her voice "Hey Alex! What's up girly!" I rolled my eyes at my best friends terminology for me, "Kelly I can't figure out what to wear!" I could hear her snort on the other end of the line, "Like you aren't going to wear what you wear every day, I've never seen you once in 10 years without jeans and a t shirt!" I mumbled frustrated, "Why can't I change it up sometimes! I'm a grown girl!" She snickered at me, "Just go get dressed I'll see you at school gorgeous. I need some way to hide this hideous face."
I groaned inwardly after she hung up, Kelly hideous? Never had she been hideous I envyed her often. She had beautiful bright blue eyes with long blonde hair that reached the middle of her back not to mention she was tan and skinny. Now me I had unruly light brown hair that fell to my shoulders with pale blue eyes and freckles. I've never been considered skinny but I wouldn't consider myself overweight but think what you may of that. But her, she's never hideous, she's beautiful.
I threw on my dark blue skinny jeans with my Green Day band T-shirt. What? It may not be the 90's but their music is great. My eyes grazed over the photo frame that had been turned down for years and quickly looked away. I slowly walked into the bathroom across the hall and ran my fingers through my hair then brushing my teeth. "Ugh a zit." I made a sour face and put on a little bit of concelear and foundation to cover it up. I ran down stairs and grabbed an apple. "Alex! Alex!" My 8 year old brother with dirty blonde hair and bright blue eyes looked up at me tugging at my shirt. He slowly drew out "I love you Alex bear." I groaned and rolled my eyes and still got on my knees to hug and kiss my brother. "I love you too Sammy, have you seen mom?" He frowned and shook his head yes, "Momma said she had a really really realllly important meeting today." I frowned a little and shrugged I barely see mom anymore.
I took Sam's hand and walked with him out the door, grabbing my house keys on the way. I looked around at the cold dead trees that seemed to stare at me where ever I would walk. I dropped him off at school and kissed him on the head, "When you get home tell me all about your day, okay?" He nodded excitedly and ran to school. I slowly trudged my way to school almost dragging my feet. Hey, its not my fault my book bag weighs 200 pounds! Kelly was talking to her 'best friend' more like lovers. Josh always followed her around like a lost puppy dog and looked her her like she's the most beautiful girl ever, which she probably is.
I ran up to her and wrapped her in a hug, she squealed so loud my eardrum practically burst, "Oh my god! Alex, guess what?" I groaned inwardly sighing at what she was going to say, "What? Well tell me!" She smiled widely and slowly hugged Josh blushing a bit, "Me and Josh are dating!" I rolled my eyes and smirked "Only took you 3 months to ask her." I laughed slightly and walked into school. My locker was on the other end of the school naturally and my first classes were on the other end of the school.
I put my books into my locker and grabbed my history books, suddenly I realized nature was calling. I quickly ran to the bathroom and was washing my hands when the bell rang. I silently cursed to myself and ran into the bathroom keeping my head down focusing on my feet trying to move faster without running. My face hit something and I fell on my ass. "Watch where you're going would ya!" I slowly looked up seeing ripped skinny jeans, a white shirt then a leather jacket. Suddenly i saw those piercing green emerald eyes, I knew those eyes.
