Chapter 3: Can't Be Erased

(Y/N)'s POV

The doctor entered the room. 

Doctor: I told them what you told me to.

(Y/N): Thank you.

He sat next to me.

Doctor: You should've told us you were a monster. We would've brought you a monster specialist.

(Y/N): No need. I can heal myself. All i need is some rest to get my energy back.

Doctor: Don't they know you're not a human?

I shook my head.

(Y/N): You're actually the first to find out.

Doctor: Don't worry, i won't tell a soul.

I smiled at him.

(Y/N): Thanks, doc.

He smiled back and stood up.

Doctor: I have to go now. Good luck with your eye.

He left. I looked through the window.

(Y/N)'s mind: It will take a few days. Maybe a week. But it'll grow back. I'm sure of it. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

3 weeks later

I was on my way home. My eye was bandaged up but it was fully recovered and my skin didn't have any scars left. I smiled to myself.

(Y/N)'s mind: I can't wait to see Ava! I wonder how she's holding up? 

I frowned.

(Y/N)'mind: But now i will be getting back to the abuse and neglect from my other roommates.

(Y/N): *Sigh* For Ava's sake i will have to put up with it.

I reached the front door of my house.

(Y/N)'s mind: Well... this is it.

I was about to knock but the door opened. Ava jumped out. 

Ava: (Y/NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN)!

She hugged me and we both fell to the ground. I returned the hug.

(Y/N): Hey, little one. How are you?

Ava: I've missed you so much! Please don't scare me like that anymore!

(Y/N): Don't worry, i'm fine now. 

I stood up and took her hand.

(Y/N): Let's get in.

She nodded.

I was cooking on the stove, while Ava was playing with her toys on the floor.

(Y/N): Where are the others? I haven't seen them all day.

Ava: *Shrugs* I dunno.

(Y/N): Hmm... Well... In any case i will make dinner for them as well.

I poured the soup into five bowls. I grabbed two and invited Ava to the table.

(Y/N): Here you go, sweetie. You couldn't try it the last time so... I decided to make it again.

Ava: Woah. 

(Y/N): Try it.

She grabbed a spoon and tasted the soup. Her eyes got shiny. She started eating faster.

Ava: *Nom* *nom* It's amazing!

(Y/N): *Chuckle* I'm glad you like it.

I patted her on the head and started eating as well.

Ava: Ahh. That was delicious! I want you to cook this every day!

(Y/N): Heh, i don't think that's healthy. But i will make it from time to time.

Ava: Yay!

I looked at the time. It was past 9:30 PM. I turned to Ava.

(Y/N): I think it's time for you to go to bed.

Ava: Awww... Do i have to?

She looked at me with pleading eyes.

(Y/N): You have to rest if you want to grow big and strong. Just like your old man.

I flexed.

Ava: Okay then.

She hugged me.

Ava: Night, daddy!

(Y/N): Good night, sweetie.

She went to her room and closed the door. I noticed that it started raining.

(Y/N): Maybe i should get some rest as well. That heal took all of my energy.

I walked towards my room.

(Y/N)'s mind: I have to endure another beating tomorrow from those three. I'll get used to it... eventually.

I opened my room. I saw Cathyl, Liz and Lillia on the floor, with their knees and faces on the ground.

Liz: (Y/N), please forgive us. We d-didn't know you were doing everything for us. 

Lillia: You even act like the father our little sister never had. W-We promise to make it up to you.

Cathyl stood up and hugged me. Liz and Lillia joined her. My face was squished between six soft things.

(Y/N): L-Ladies... p-please... air...

They let go of me. I was trying to catch my breath.

(Y/N): It's okay. I was never mad at you.

Cathyl: H-How can it be okay? *Tears up* I burnt your face and blinded you in one eye. N-Now you have to wear an eyepatch for the rest of your life.

(Y/N): Hm? Oh, right, that thing. I forgot to remove it. Tell me how it is.

I removed the bandages. Their eyes widened.

(Y/N): So... how is it? Am i still handsome?

Liz: You look... You look the same. It's like nothing happened to you.

Lillia: How is that even possible?

(Y/N): Call it luck, i guess.

I rubbed the back of my head.

(Y/N): So uhh... we're cool?

They nodded.

(Y/N): Great. I'm going to bed now. See you tomorrow.

They headed out.

Cathyl: Good night.

Liz: Good night.

Lillia: Good night.

I closed the door. I looked through the window and smiled.

(Y/N)'s mind: I'm glad we're fine now. Who knows, we might even become good friends. 

I lightning struck. I saw an old man in my reflection. It dissapeared with the lightning.

(Y/N): AAGH!

I fell on my bed. I looked towards the window but there was nothing there. I slapped myself on the face a few times.

(Y/N): Calm down, (Y/N). You just went out of the hospital. Your head isn't right. You just have to sleep a little. Yeah... sleep...

I layed down.

(Y/N)'s mind: What did i  just saw? Who was that man? I feel like... i know him from somewhere...
