The pale light of the Moon was decorating the eroded walls of Amanda's bedroom. She was only seventeen years old and lost in her thoughts, living in a world of fear where solitude and exploitation dominate. The subtle bang on the window made her twitch a little and when she investigated the sudden noise she saw Treyton, her boyfriend and the only shoulder she had to cry to.

- Treyton? What are you doing here? It's too late we are going to have trouble!

-I know but I couldn't resist seeing you, I like you so much, Amanda! You are the only person in the world I wanna talk to.

- You have no idea, everything around me is a mess and you are the only stable thing keeping me sane, I don't know how much longer I can do that.

- Do what?

- Stay here. I just want to grab a backpack or something and get the Hell out of this purgatory!

- You want us to get out of here?

- You know we can't though.

- What is holding you back?

- It's not only about me Trey, it's about you too. You have a family that loves you, a dream you wanna accomplice, and a life that's waiting for you out there. Me, I'm a burned card, all I'm gonna leave behind are ashes and dust. I ain't gonna be the one to drag you in my shit.

- But you can't choose for both of us, what if I said I'm already burning cause you set all the things I thought I didn't need inside me on fire?

- You know that I love you, you do and I can't even pretend cause you're always looking at me in the eyes so deeply that you know it before I even tell BUT let it go, this is not gonna end well and I can't carry the burden of losing you in the worst way possible!

- Why are you thinking you are going to hurt me?

- I'm not gonna hurt you...

- Then!

- He will...

- Oh no, don't tell me we are starting this again.

- Trey, you have to Believe me, something doesn't feel right inside this house, every day I wake up I feel a presence around me like someone is stalking me, and the nights, God the nights are so torturing, it's hard looking at the dark place of your room fearing that something is gonna run towards you and get you.

- Amanda, maybe you need the help of a psychiatrist, so you can understand what happens in your brain.

- I'm not crazy Trey! You have to believe me! You are the only one left to do it!

- I'm trying to but try also to understand me, you tell me supernatural things are happening, someone is haunting you, and...and...there is not even the slightest of proof.

- You want proof? Fine, I'll show you proof!

Amanda raises her shirt, letting the marks scratched on her body leave Treyton in a place of shock and terror.

- Amanda who did this to you?!

- The one that doesn't exist for any of you!

- We have to call for help, these marks are made by a human!

- That's what everyone wants to believe but they are not, I wish I could explain it but I don't think there is a logical explanation for any of these things.

- I won't abandon you like that, I don't give a fuck, human or not I wanna stay and fight for you, you can't give up like that. You are not a coward, the girl I know and love sure isn't.
