This is my first story, and it shows. I will not be updating it for the sake of growth. This "trilogy" as I called it, is definitely something. But it's good to have something to look back on and see how far you've come. But there's still some stuff here to enjoy! And if you like it more power to you.
{Prologue}
"Silent Society" is the first part of a trilogy series focusing on the relationship between Joel Miller and Jaden Richards amidst the apocalypse. This story takes place within the universe of The Last of Us.
This story and none of the trilogy will follow the plots of either The Last of Us: Part I, or The Last of Us: Part II. Within the context of this trilogy Part II never happened, and the first game takes place before the start of this story.
The main focus of the trilogy is the romance between the leads, a lot of beauty is found in the darkness. Expect a lot of tender moments, and a lot of brutal moments.
Following his rescuing of Ellie, Joel is left alone after she heads out in a vow to never speak to him again. Now by himself, Joel is saved by a young man named Jaden, and unbeknownst to either of them this would be the start of a beautiful relationship.
This story was written with mature audiences in mind, this book will include but is not limited to; Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Sexual Content, Nudity, Rape, Strong Language, and use of Alcohol.
None of these topics are glorified or romanticized, however they are shown in their most bleak of forms.

The Clicker was within audible range, Jaden looked up to see it just beyond the car. An old Subaru, the sound of raindrops hitting the hood echoed out.

He had a knife, that's it. Usually, he'd be able to sneak up on the infected but there are so many twigs and leaf's that the second he moves he'll be completely fucked. The brunette hadn't felt this scared since that fateful night.
Jaden was born on April 23rd, 2005. Two years after the initial outbreak, he was born to his mom Rachel, and his father Daniel. Brought into a cruel, unforgiving cesspool of a world without a choice. Why his mother would have a baby when zombies are all over the place? Nobody knows.
His older sister Gwen wasn't much better off. Until he was thirteen Jaden lived with his family in Denver. Stuffed away in one of the last standing apartment buildings. Going outside was a luxury, his mom and dad didn't allow it often. So he grew familiar with the run-down unit. Besides a few freak occurrences, they never had a problem with the infected.
