Softly, i hummed to the sound of the radio that was being played downstairs, a pulsing ache on the side of my head rang my attention as I groaned moving around under my silk bedsheets. The migraine in my head only seeming to be getting worse as I recalled last nights events, not remembering anything happening after my father had took a swing to my face.
Propping myself up I rubbed my eyes mentally slapping myself that it's now Monday again, looking at the clock to see it's 7:30.
I took my uniform out of my closet and throwing it on before moving my hair slightly to cover the slice that was on the side of my head, before slinging my bag over my shoulder.
I couldn't bare the sight of my mum or my dad right now, so I snuck through my window landing on the grassy floor wiping the mud off before heading out of the gates.
I walked down the cobblestone path as the wind blew my tangled hair back the end of my nose icy cold. Pushing my hair back with my fingers as I kept my hands in my pocket.
"Hey! Wait up!" A voice shouted from the distance as the sound of shoes slamming on the ground became more clear, the voice she easily recognised
"Noel." Britney responded as she turned around the boy easily out of puff as he faced her
"Wh-what's that." He said catching his breath before pointing at the cut on the side of her head
"What'swhat?" Britney replied quickly before pushing her hair back to where it was supposed to go
"You're face, what happened." Noel questioned before they both began to walk again
"I fell." Britney said the lies leaving her mouth so easily, as she paced towards school a bit faster
"Typical." Noel answered scoffing sarcastically rating a shove to his side
"Where's Liam?" She asked
"With the red headed muppet."
"Hey! Don't be so mean." Both of them chuckled at his response, Britney nudging his shoulder.
"Cmon, you're telling me she's not?" He raised an eyebrow at the girl as the rain began to pour ever so slightly
"I never said that." Britney whispered as the school became in eye-sight as she mentally screamed, walking through the entrance

Lunch period had come round far quicker than expected, first and third period were torture, mathematics and science weren't britneys cup of tea on a monday morning.
Although English, how she loved English, learning about how to phrase a good fucking story together and write whatever comes into mind.
Still no sign of Liam or Noel, which was weird since they three had the same English and science class. Gripping her hand on her backpack she found an free table setting her bag down and rubbing her temple.
She carefully lit a 5 day old cigarette inside of her rusty black bag the fumes almost getting her caught as she reached down taking a puff, hoping no prefects could see her.
"Fuck off you wanker- hey Brit." Noel said as he left one of his friends side siting on the opposite seat of Britney slamming a red tray on the table, a tray full of food.
"Hey, want a puff?" She asked him as his eyes trailed down to the bag next to her side
"Fuck yeah." He replied shoving his hand under the table as she passed him the almost drained cigarette, him taking a puff and passing it back.
"Alright' knobs." Liam said as he sat down next to Brit pushing his hair back with his hand.
"Fuck'd you been?" Noel asked as he practically shoved chips down his throat
"None of your business." Liam answered as he scoffed throwing an arm over the girls shoulder.
The boy noticed the girls mood wasn't as strong as it usually was making him frown, he knew that he wasn't spending as much time with her as he should but he didn't think she would take any notice of it.
She silently tapped his thigh and handed him the cigarette earning a thanks blowing the smoke into the air.
Passing a cigarette around the three talked for a while about what to do over the holidays which were happening next week, meaning the three were just going to get wasted and end up in each others backyard.
She couldn't help but stare at Liam not in that kind of way, she thought but deep down she knew that she loved him more than a friend, she had for a long time despite his reckless behaviour and lack of interest in anything, she truly loved that boy.
"Now that's fucking bollocks." Britney chuckled at the boys statement
"The smiths ain't overrated, dick, you just have a random hatred for music." Noel protested
"Right! I get it, why don't you just go shag them already?" Liam said cutting of their nagging making the two chuckle
Britney pushed a piece of hair behind her ear as she took another drag of the cigarette before it was almost complete ashes.
Liam noticed the red scar she had on the side of her head, instant alarm bells ringing in his head he knew something happened with her dad last night, and he wasn't there when he usually was there he would take her some place else so nothing bad would happen to her.
His facial expression once was smiling now turned into a frown.
"Brit wh-" he questioned but getting cut off by the prefect that had shouted from across the dinner hall
"Hey! Put that out!" The old woman said as she marched towards the three, Britney and Noel laughing as brit threw the cigarette across the hall as they all ran the opposite direction from the teacher...
