Sonya Pegasus

Chapter 01

Sonya's POV
I walked into class just as Yugi said "Joey! Earth to Joey! Hey, are you in there? It's your turn" I looked over to see a small crowd around two desks. On either side say two of my friends, Yugi Muto and Joey Wheeler.

Yugi has extremely extravagant hair features multiple layers including long blond crooked, pointy locks for his fringe; the rest features a set of five large spikes and two smaller spikes colored black with a magenta sheen along the edges. His eyes are a gorgeous shade of purple and compliment his hair and fair skin well. His outfit consists of the standard male Domino High uniform complete with a closed buckled collar. He wears the a large gold charm called the Millennium Puzzle on a brown leather cord around his neck.

Joey's hairstyle is in sporadic style and colored in a dirty blond and his eyes are chocolate brown. He too wears the Domino High uniform with no accessories, but his jacket is open revealing a white undershirt.

I walked over a stood next to my other friend Ryou Bakura "Hey" I whispered making him look at me and smile "Hello love, glad you could make it."

Bakura has brown eyes and white hair. His hair is pointed downwards in various directions and trails half way down his back. He wears the Domino High uniform in a strict manner and he wears a gold charm called the Millennium Ring on a lace around his neck.

I offer him a sweet smile before playfully glaring in Seto's direction.

Seto too wears the school uniform in a strict manner. Seto has brown hair with bangs down to the top of his eyes and a hairline at the base of the neck and dark blue eyes.

"Sorry, the boss kept me busy" my comment made Seto look up and glare at me causing both Bakura laugh. "Careful, Sonya, I don't think Kaiba appreciates that nickname" Bakura teases making shrug and say "Too bad" before returning my attention towards the duel.

"Aww! Isn't he cute when he's thinking?" One of my other friends, Tristen Taylor, asks "Hey, Tristen. Yugi here's teaching me how to play Duel Monsters" Joey explains "Drooling monsters?" Tristen asks in confusion "Duel Monsters, you nimrod!" Joey corrects "Sheesh!" Tristen whines.

My only female friend, Téa Gardener, speaks up and explains to Tristen "They've been at it for hours. Joey's starting to get the hang of the game, but Yugi's like an expert" "Okay Yuugi. It's time to duel" Joey says before placing down a card with an elf scout on it "See, each card has an attack number and a defense number. The first player to eliminate the other player's life points wins the duel" Téa explains.

Tristen wears the school uniform with a black undershirt and only a few of the top buttons undone. He has brown hair is arranged such that a large portion spikes out from the front of his head with matching brown eyes.

Téa wears the female uniform in a proper way. She has short, straight brown hair with bangs and blue eyes. She wears no makeup, or accessories or has piercings.

"Pretty good move, huh Yugi?" Joey asks and Yugi agrees "Yup! Pretty good move, but not good enough" he then places down a elf warrior card with a higher attack point "What?! Thanks a lot. A card that powerful totally wipes me out" Tristen suddenly laughs and jokes "Whoa, you stink at this game, Joey" causing Yugi and I to laugh "You did fine, Joey. I just have better cards. See, my Grandpa owns a game shop and I get all my best cards from him" Yugi explains.

I rest my head on Bakura's shoulder earning an affectionate look from said boy and a jealous one from the brunette behind us.

"Your own game shop. What're we waiting for? Let's go!" Joey says excitedly "Okay, we'll stop by after school, maybe I could even get my Grandpa to show us this super rare card he's got!" Yugi says before turning to me.

He frowns when he sees the affectionate position Bakura and I are in, but he quickly shrugs it off and smiles brightly at me.

"You wanna come with, Sonya?" He asks, but I frown sadly and reply "I'm sorry. I have work after school....maybe I can come by this weekend" his face lights up and he says "Okay!"

That evening I was at the Kaiba residence tending to Mokuba.

Mokuba has tan skin with grayish-purple eyes and long black hair. He was wearing his primary school uniform when I picked him up.

After picking him up from school I took him home and had him change into after school clothes, before we started on homework. We chatted about our day as we worked then I made sure to check it over when he was done and helped him make any corrections. After that we played games, whatever Mokuba wanted to play.

He chose to learn duel monsters.

We borrowed some decks from Seto and I started teaching him the basics before we had a practice round.

Mokuba was patient and eager to learn. He soaked up everything I was teaching him, but his execution was off. I reassured him that his first duel was very good and told him that with a little practice he'll be as good as his big brother.

I should've taken a picture of his smile....

I then cooked dinner for the two of us and made sure to save a plate for Seto. We ate and talked about random topics. When we finished I had him take a bath, before I got him ready for bed. He wore red and blue striped pajamas with white socks that had gray spots on his toe and heels. He crawled into bed and I tucked him in.

I laid next to him and we read a chapter of the book he picked out for this month. After the chapter, I ran my fingers through his hair and placed a sisterly kiss on his temple, before getting up and walking out as I placed my hand on the light switch I hear "Sonya..." Mokuba called before I left the room "Hmm?" He hesitates before asking "Do you promise to stay? With Seto and I..."

I look at him in surprise before walking back over and sitting on the foot of the bed "Where'd that come from?" Mokuba grew shyer before saying "I over heard Seto complaining about people at school stealing you away...." I blinked before saying in a simpering voice "Bubba, I'm not going anywhere. I promise, you and Seto are apart of my little family now" as I ran my fingers through his hair.

He smiled before sitting up and pecking my cheek "Thanks Sonya, you're a part of our family too" I smile and say "Good night, bubs" he replies "Night" before I leave and turn off the light.

I head back to the kitchen and clean up so the staff didn't have to worry about it. As I did the dishes I thought about what Mokuba said Seto's worried about me being stolen away? By who? Is he jealous of my friends? Why? He isn't affectionate nor is he open about his personal relationships....'

My thoughts are interrupted when Seto comes in. He acts as if he's about to storm off to his room before he spots me and calms down "Rough day?" I ask only for him to say "I don't want to talk about it" as he sits down. I nod expecting this before I bring him is plate and let him eat. We keep a silent companionship until I leave to go home.

When I get home, I change and go to bed. I'm blissfully unaware of tomorrow's chaos.
