This story is written for ONC 2023.

What prompt am I using?

I am using prompt twenty, "you finally build enough courage to talk to that cute someone you see every day on the bus. Their face turns dark as they respond "You shouldn't be able to see me."

What fandom is/are used in the story?

This is an alternative universe for Harry Potter.

How am I using the prompt?

Regulus Black was using a combination of the Invisibility Spell and Disillusionment Charm to hide on the bus to prevent anyone from finding out he was visiting his older brother's place over the school holidays. Yet, somehow a Muggle girl manages to see him.

Is there anything else of note?

This story will be heading in the direction of Regulus/Olivia, which in this alternative universe setting also results in Regulus living. I'm trying not to refer to Olivia as Olivia Granger or my personal headcanon of Regulus actually being Hermione's biological father to leave certain things open to the reader's interpretation. I'm still tagging it as being for Regulus x Mrs. Granger though, rather than Regulus x OC in case I slip so those looking for Regulus x OC don't end up being disappointed.

Is Regulus Hermione's father? How?

I'm trying to leave it open to interpretation, but I do headcanon him being Hermione's biological father, either because the tapestry picked up his heart-stopping momentarily and he's still alive, or her parents that show up in canon are actually her grandparents or aunt/uncle respectively.
