Once upon a time, in an ocean very very very much far away. There lived a little girl who was known as a Shell Snatcher. Crab shells, snail shells, sea shells, any kind would make the little girl happy. For oh-so-many years from her first breath until her last, shells were something she never got over.
However, at one point in her oh-so-long life, she forgot about those silly shells. Silly, she called them. Childish, she used to grumble. Perhaps the little girl wasn't that little anymore.
'I'm a big girl,' she would always declare. That was a lie. She was nothing but little.
In her puny body was a fragile brain, and in her fragile brain was a little vulnerable girl. She would always tell people she was a big girl, she could handle big problems too. She lied.
She lies all day and all night, until she couldn't lie anymore.
Yet this story isn't about a lying little girl.
She was little at the very beginning. And as the story goes and I can assure you it does. The little girl never really became as huge as the largest mountain, or as tall as the highest cliff. Nevertheless, she wasn't as small as she used to be.
You may call her tiny, small, miniature, feeble, delicate, or as many synonyms for small and weak you can find. But never call her heart little or fragile.
That is nothing but a lie.
