Taylor was in the room that she shared with Beth. While she was braiding her hair, she looked at Beth in the mirror. Beth had blonde hair and blue eyes. She was about 5'3 and around 19. She was the sweetest thing that you could ever meet. Beth said,
"Midnight is going to lose her mind if you don't ride her"
"Yeah like Nelly?"
Taylor asked. Beth didn't have time to answer because Maggie, their other sister, yelled for their dad. Taylor and Beth looked at each other, and ran downstairs. Her and Beth stood by Maggie.
Maggie had shoulder-length brown hair. She was around 22 and was 5'4. So when Taylor stood beside them, she was Mount Everest and they were little hills.
Taylor looked at what Maggie was yelling at. It was a tall man covered in blood, running with a young boy in his arms. Back in the woods, she saw another man basically dragging Otis. Hershel walked out and the stranger turned to Taylor and asked her,
"Is-is there a Hershel here? Please help me. My-my boy has been shot... by your man."
Taylor nodded and Hershel said,
"Follow me."
When they were walking, she asked,
"What happen for your little kid to get shot?"
He said,
"We were out searching for another girl in the group, around his age, when we saw a deer. I-it was a beautiful one too. Carl, my son, was standing there. He was getting close to it and bam. The bullet went straight through the deer and into him."
She nodded as they walked into the guest bedroom and he laid Carl there. As Hershel and the man was talking, she went to go and get an IV bag, sheets, and towels. As she walked back in the room, the man was walking out. As they made eye contact, she blushed and looked away.
She gave Maggie the stuff because she's not good with blood. She walked on the porch and gave the man a rag.
She said,
"I'm Taylor. I never asked your name."
He looked at her and said,
"I'm Rick. And that's Carl. The guy running up there is Shane."
Otis and Shane ran up. Shane asked,
"Is-is he ok?"
She went to stand by Otis and said,
"Hope so."
She hugged him and he hugged back. He said,
"I-I-I didn't see him there. I just aimed and shot. And when I hit the buck I saw the boy"
Shane said,
"Yeah, you best hope he is ok."
She stood in front of Otis as he came closer to him. She said,
"You best get away or you will be in the bed beside him"
"Lori doesn't know. She need to know"
She said,
"Is she your wife? I'll go get her if you tell me the area you think she's in."
He said,
"Yeah, she's my wife. She's in the woods, by the highway. Ask for Lori Grimes and tell her that Carl has been shot. Oh my God. She doesn't know."
Taylor nods and tells Otis,
"Tell daddy that I will be back"
Taylor hugged Otis and ran off to the stables. She got on Midnight and ran in the woods.
When Midnight was galloping, Taylor heard a scream. She made Midnight run towards it and she saw a blonde headed woman getting attacked by a walker. She got her bat that she used for softball and smashed its head. A group gathered around Taylor and she asked,
"Lori? Is there a Lori Grimes?"
A women with long black hair said,
"I'm Lori"
Taylor looked at her and said,
"You need to come with me. Carl has been shot. Rick had sent me."
Lori's eyes widen and climbed on Midnight. A man with a crossbow said,
"You can't go with her. You can't get on the horse!"
Taylor looked to a Korean guy with a baseball hat on. Taylor said,
"Y'all are camped out at the highway right? Well go down she road about five miles. You'll see a mailbox. Name's Greene."
And with that, Midnight sped off back to the farm. She felt Lori crying on the back of her shirt. Taylor Said,
"Your boy will be ok."
Lori smiled and said,
"I hope so."
They arrive at the farm and Taylor scooted up on the saddle so Lori could hop off. She ran to Rick and hugged him. Taylor got off of Midnight and Beth took her to the stables. Lori ran to Taylor and hugged her. Taylor tensed up and Lori said,
"Taylor thank you so much."
She nodded and said,
"Don't worry about it."
They walked in and Lori fell. Taylor quickly caught her, bumping into Rick, who was behind them. Taylor sat her on the bed by Carl. Taylor looked at Rick and whispered.
"Do you want to sit by her or me?"
He looked at her and she sighed. She whispered,
"Please. I'm not the one to do this."
Rick smiled at her and Taylor sat by her and rubbed circles on her back. When she got up, she was about to walk out but Rick grabbed her hand and whispered in her ear,
"Thank you Taylor."
When he did that, it gave her chills. She said,
"Don't worry about it."
When she walked out, Maggie and Beth was smiling. She looked at them and said,
"Calm down shorties. Stop smiling so much before your cheeks fall off. By the way, why are you smiling?"
Maggie whispered in her ear,
"Before you arrived with Lori, Rick told us about how Lori cheated on him and said he doesn't lover as he did. But the way he looks at you..."
She moved from her and asked,
"Why are y'all like this? First of all, the man just got here. And after Mike, I don't think I could go through that again."
She shook her head and walked upstairs.
