You were having a bad day. You got out of bed late for work, messed up the copier, spilled coffee on your boss ending up with you getting fired, and now, it was pouring rain and you didn't have an umbrella. You thought you were being punished for something.
As you walked you saw a coffee shop and ran towards it and ducked inside. Every looked at you with sympathetic eyes as they saw you shivering. You waited in line and got a nice hot coffee for yourself before taking a seat. As you sat alone you felt a pair of eyes on you.
You looked and saw a boy with brown hair and kind brown eyes looking at you. He blushed when he got caught. You gave a small smile and waved him over. He blushed harder and looked around for a moment before getting up and walking to your spot.
"I didn't mean to stare." he mumbles. You give him a smile before shaking your head.
"It's alright, I didn't mind." you say tucking a wet piece of hair behind your ear. "I'm Y/N." you said holding out your hand. He took it in his and you realized that they were a perfect fit.
"Spencer." he replied back, sounding a bit dazed as he looked at your hands. You both kept linked hands for a moment longer before you released his hand. He blushed and you smiled at him. "So, um, I couldn't help but notice that you aren't having the best of days." he mumbled shyly.
"Am I that obvious?" you asked taking a sip of your drink.
"Um, no it's just uh, it's kind of my job to profile people, it can be a bit hard to t-turn it off." he said shyly.
"Ah, you must be one of those FBI profilers then, eh?" you asked with a raised eyebrow.
"How did you know?" he asks slightly surprised.
"I was going to apply there next year," you shrug. It was true, you had planned to apply there because you were good with a gun and reading people. "I was going to finish working at the local precinct before I got fired today." you grumbled out the last part.
"Why did you get fired? I-if you don't mind my asking." he says as an after thought. You gave him a small smile.
"I spilled coffee on my pissed off boss and he fired me on the spot." you shrug.
"Sounds a bit unfair, just because he was having a bad day doesn't mean he should ruin someone else's." he says with a look of slight defense. You thought it was cute how he barely knew you and yet he was ready to defend you.
"Today just ins't my day," you sighed taking another drink from you're coffee. "But, it seems to be turning up already." you said with a smile.
"How so?" he asks slightly confused.
"Well, Even though I'm soaked from head to toe, I got to meet a very attractive and sweet guy in a coffee shop, who also happens to be an FBI profiler." you said with a wink. He blushed hard and looked down slightly. "And now, he's being adorable." he blushed a bit harder with a small smile.
"Statistically speaking the average person who meets someone and finds a connection find most things that the other person does to either be attractive or in some cases adorable." He said. "Most of the time women tend to find men attractive if they-" he stopped then.
He realized he had been rambling and blushed again. "Sorry," he muttered embarrassed.
"No no, it's fine," you said with a smile. "Please continue, I find it interesting that you seem to know a lot." you said. He perked up at that. Most people didn't enjoy his ramblings and often stopped him.
You both spent a long time talking in the coffee shop. Mostly it consisted of him rambling off facts. You were laughing at something he had said before someone tapped Spencer on the shoulder. Both of you looked and saw a built man with kind chocolate eyes.
"I've been looking for you all over," he said to Spencer.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't realize the time." Spencer replied a little sheepishly. The new comer looked at you and then grinned at Spencer.
"And who is this lovely lady?" he asked.
"Oh, this is Y/N, Y/N, this is Morgan." Spencer said.
"Ah, the famous Morgan," you said shaking Morgan's hand.
"Have you been talking about me, pretty boy?" Morgan asked, teasing the genius.
Spencer grumbled at being called 'pretty boy' "I should, uh, probably get going." He said to you sadly. He had enjoyed talking to you as you were the first girl who had liked him for all of his rambling, facts, and awkwardness.
"Alright, but hey, here's my number, call me when you have some time." you said writing down your number. "I really enjoyed talking to you Spencer so I hope to hear from you." you winked before standing up, boldly kissing his cheek and leaving the coffee shop.
"To think I had a shit day," you mumbled to yourself with a grin.
