My First Creations (1) - Chapter 4

I walk up to the UPGRADE CREATION STATION and a menu pops up.

Hmm I suppose I should do defense first. I type in.

RECIPE: 4 Rank-F Magic Stones, 1 Rank-E Magic Stone, 4 Rank-F Magic Metal Cubes, and 6 Rank-F Magic Metal Rods.
2. Magic/Barrier Fusion Defense (RANK-F)
STATS: Defense Level: 8
RECIPE: 6 Rank-F Magic Stones, 1 Rank-F Magic Metal Cube, and 3 Rank-F Magic Metal Rods.
3. Barrier Defense (RANK-F)
STATS: Defense Level: 5
RECIPE: 3 Rank-F Magic Stones, 1 Rank-F Magic Wooden Frame, 10 Rank-F Magic Wooden Planks, and 4 Rank-F Magic Metal Cubes.

I go to the Ingredient Storage and open it up, somehow knowing what Items are which.
Grabbing the Items I need, I head back to the UPGRADE CREATION STATION and put them on the UPGRADE CREATOR. As it turns out, the WORKSHOP will teach me how to create the thing I want to create, so when it told me what to do I was surprised.
I grabbed the large hammer, turned on all the magic powered machines, and got to work. When I finally finished it about 2-3 hours later (give or take half an hour) I got an Upgrade that was about three feet long, and two feet wide.

Running to the bedroom, I look in the night stand drawer, and lo and behold, there it is.

Opening up the manual, I think out loud. "It's been what two and a half, three hours, or so. I have about five hours to read this, so let's do it!"

Three and a half hours later.

So I finished it with an hour and a half left, the quickest ones belong to the Weapons category so let's do that. I continue thinking, out loud now. "I think I'll make a shield and a dagger. That sound good for now." I go to the WEAPONS CREATION STATION and get to work.

{Wooden Magic Infused Shield}
RECIPE: 1/2 a Rank-F Magic Wooden Plank, 2 Rank-F Magic Stones, and 1/5 of a Rank-F Magic Metal Beam.
STATS: Defense Level: 9

Crafting all of the materials together to make the shield takes me about fifty minutes.

{Magic Metal Dagger} (RANK-F)
RECIPE: 1/8 of a Rank-F Magic Wooden Plank, 1 Rank-F Magic Stone, and 1 Rank-F Magic Metal Cube.
STATS: Attack Level: 13

Meanwhile crafting the dagger takes me about another thirty. For a total of one hour and twenty minutes. "I think that's enough, time to leave!" I say to myself, putting both the dagger, and the shield into my inventory.

I deactivate the WORKSHOP Skill, and pull out my dagger and shield. A few minutes later Lizzy arrives. "I'm back as you requested." "Good let's go kill the boss now, oh and don't worry I'll be fine. As you can clearly see, I have a dagger and shield with me now." "V-Very well then, let us go."

While walking to the boss I ask Lizzy. "Question, what does Rachel do to you if you disobey or do something wrong?" Seconds after asking that question Lizzy squeals in fear. "I-I-I-I w-was t-t-t-told n-n-not t-to tell y-you!! I can't tell you! No, no, I'll be a good girl and not tell you! No, no me won't tell Octavo, I promise guild leader!"
"Uuuuhh...." What the fuck is happening right now?!
Lizzy keeps repeating the same words over and over again until I tell her. "Okay, okay, you don't have to tell me! Let's just get going, alright?!" "O-Okay...."

We continue in awkward silence up until we reach the boss area. The boss (a large lizard with two antennae on the top of its head) screams loudly. Startled I take a step back and raise my shield and dagger, although I notice that Lizzy isn't even flinching. "Remember what Rachel said about letting deafest this thing?" "Yes I do."

The boss turns to me before lunging at me,. Blocking it with my shield, I stab it with my dagger. As it jumps back, I take the chance to attack, managing to slash its front left leg as it tries to dodge my attack. The Liizard (pronounced Lee-zard) falls down as its leg fails to move. Taking advantage of its disorientation, I move forward for a stab, it hitting its stomach. In retaliation the Liizard double slashes me, I dodge one and block the other with my now damaged shield. Stumbling, I fall on my back, the Liizard seeing its chance, pounces on me. Trying to block it with my shield, I am only partially successful. Two of its claws slashes me. The first on my cheek, and the second on my lower leg. "Aaaarggh! Shit that hurts!" I yell in pain before stabbing it in its heart, it collapses as I rip the E-RANK Magic Stone from it's heart. "Damn this hurts...." I groan in pain. "NOOOO!!!! NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!! PLEASE NO, PLEASE DON'T!!!! SHE'S GONNA HURT ME!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!" Lizzy screams in panic, and fear while crying. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?! "What ever she said she'll do to you, it must be bad....!" I say in awe. "Uh, let's get going I guess...?" "NO! NO! NO! NO! I'll stay right here! It'll be better that way! Yes, yes it'll be better that way!" "Okay then.... I'll go by myself, bye bye...?" I say to her as I walk back to the gate.

When I walk out I see Rachel and tell her with a pained groan. "H-Hey. Listen what the fuck do you do to your people, because the moment I got hurt she fell down and started screaming and crying?" "You got hurt!?" Rachel said with a hint of anger in her voice. "It's not that bad but yeah. Fuck though, Lizzy is absolutely terrified. I get that they're screams of terror but still, my ears hurt." "Don't worry Oct!" Rachel said with a little bit of crazy in it. "I'll make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen again! Okay?" "I'm kind of scared what you'll do to Lizzy...." Replying in a sweet yet somewhat sickening voice she said. "Don't worry about that okay?"

Okay something's really, really bad is about to happen, I should try to at least lessen it. "You know I was hoping to go again tomorrow. I basically learned what it was and that's it." "No you will not!" Rachel suddenly growled at me. Scared shitless I close my eyes and protect my head. Realizing what she did, Rachel apologizes to me in a bit of a panic. "I-I-I'm sorry! I-I didn't mean to do that! I'm almost at my violence limit so it's hard to control my self! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!!" I should end this here.... "Listen I'll go back when you come back from the dungeon raid you probably should go on soon. Just make sure Lizzy is okay by that time, alright?" "Fine...." Rachel says with a sigh.

"Jackson!" Rachel yells. An A-RANKER appears almost immediately, startling me a little. "Go get Lizzy, and bring her back to the guild! Make sure she's perfectly fine within nine days!" She tells the guy, saying the last part reluctantly. "Yes guild master!" The A-RANK Hunter replies, running into the dungeon to drag Lizzy out.
"Let's go home after your injuries have been treated, okay Oct?" Rachel says as calm and soothing as she can. "S-Sure, let's do that." I reply, wanting to get this over with.
I wonder what will happen to Lizzy? I hope she'll be okay. Whatever, let's get back home and rest. I'll think about the WORKSHOP later. I'm tired as fuck!
