Chapter Seven

Kaila's P.O.V

Caroline is my best friend. She always has been sense birth. I could tell her and Aaron liked each other, but they never made a move. I started to notice she wasn't herself anymore. When I asked her what was wrong, she said it was just hate from Aaron's fans, but that wasn't it. I decided I need to drive over to her house, because I know she would tell me face to face. As I pulled into her driveway, she greeted me at the door. As I walked up she gave me a hug. "Caroline I know something's up besides hate from Aaron's fans. Now tell me." I said as we stopped hugging. She brought me inside and told me to sit down. She grabbed papers and handed them to me. "What is this?" I asked her. "It's from my little sister Jamie.." She said sounding sad. She hasn't seen her in forever, because she lives with her dad. "Kaila, Jamie.... She isn't doing well anymore. My dad is physically abusing her, and she has to come back home. My mom can barely afford me, I have no idea how she'll afford her." She told me as Aaron came down the stairs. "Hey Kaila." Aaron said as he went into the fridge. "When is she coming back?" I asked her. "Sunday." She replied

Aaron's P.O.V

Today Kaila came over to talk to Caroline. I was in Caroline's bathroom when I noticed a wash cloth with stains on them. I found a blade in the trash can. She self-harmed again. I needed to put a stop to this, but how. After Kaila left, I texted Matt asking what to do. I decided tomorrow I would take her on a picnic, and ask her to be mine. I thought that would be perfect. All of a sudden I heard a scream from downstairs. I ran downstairs, and saw her mom and her hugging. "Mom i'm so happy!" she replied. "Hey mama what's going on?" I asked her. "Two things. I'm cancer free, and got a job promotion!" She replied as she hugged me. "Congrats!" I always called her mama brave because she was always brave through her cancer. I decided to take them out for dinner to celebrate. It was dinner on me, to thank them for taking me under there wings. As we got back I asked to talk to Mama Brave in private. "Caroline started to self harm again. Tomorrow I'm going to take her out on a picnic and ask her to be mine, is that okay with you? And i'll try to stop her self-harming as well.." I said. she bursted into tears. "Yes you can" she barely managed to say. Tomorrow was the last day I was spending the night at Caroline's because my parents will be home.. But that's what I thought. In the middle of the night Mama Brave came downstairs to tell me they would be another week. I was missing them, but I got more time with Caroline. In the morning when Caroline woke up and walked downstairs in her sweats, I told her I was going to take her on a picnic. She grabbed a protein bar, and a glass of milk. As she finished she went to get ready. She looked so beautiful already.

Mama Braves P.O.V

Today Aaron is asking out Caroline. I'm actually excited for that, because Caroline does have a crush on him. Today Jamie is coming back home. Luckily family has helped me and gave me some money to use to support the kids. Aaron is staying with us for another week, and he can see Jamie again. The last time they saw each other she was 2 years old. She's 14 now. Caroline and Aaron got ready for their picnic date, as I cleaned the kitchen and clearing out a room for Jamie. Caroline came downstairs ready to leave but I wasn't there. I was on the top floor. "Mom?" I heard Caroline yell. I walked down the stairs to the middle floor as I wiped sweat off my forehead. "Mom what were you doing?" she asked with a confused look on her face. "Working on Jamie's room." I said as I sat down to relax. "What? Jamie's coming back?" Aaron asked "Yeah.." Caroline said. As they walked out the door Jamie texted me telling me she was on her way.
