The sunlight gleamed through the clear glass windows, revealing the pale white room decorated in diamond butterfly designs. All that could be seen were a writing desk. Upon the wooden desk was a small stack of books and a laptop. The bed had a golden bed frame with large white covers. Besides the pillows, there was a small pile of stuffed animals. On the light pink carpet were several cardboard boxes. Clearly someone had recently moved into the room. Upon the bed was the child in question, a girl whose name was Diana Jenkins. Though she prefers to be called Dia.
The girl had carmel brown skin that seemed lighter in the sunlight. Her hair golden yellow like the golden treasure found by nobles or pirates, with a streak of a diamond like glow. A strange trait she received since birth. Born on the day of the "Great Collision", the day that the streak appeared in her hair. Her eyes matched her golden hair as gold as the sun that made them shine. She wore a white shirt with frilly shelves that mimicked the feel of floral petals. On the shirt itself were flowers made out of diamond shapes of various sizes. Along with the shirt, Dia wore a soft blue skirt who everyone would mistake for the shade of white. On the bottom right of the skirt was a diamond design that was lightly outlined with rainbow thread. At the moment she wore her white socks since she was currently relaxing on her bed.
"YESS!! The Awesome Ones uploaded a new video!! OOOOH!!! I have to watch it!!" Dia's eyes sparkled. Clicking the video as fast as finger could click it.
Ah yes! Ever since she moved to Los Vamos, Dia became a fan the instant she found their channel. Though she had been a fan way beforehand. Lately their videos have really been brightening up her mood since she moved here with her uncle. A fresh start was something needed. Something Dia preferred to be forgotten forever. Still boxes to unpack and to get familiar to the area.
Though Diana wonders if this place will be where she gain what she longed for. Friends. Ones she can depend on. Friends to share memories. Friends to share sorrows and pain. The smiles and laughs they give you. Comforting a friend with words or a reassuring hug. All Dia truly desired at that moment. Especially since she just recently moved into the area.
She then turned her attention to the video she had been excited about earlier. Twenty seconds ago to be exact. It featured a brawl between two of the Awesome Ones. The two brawling were Wynton Styles and Dan Kouzo. Wynton Styles, a Ventus Brawler who specialized in stragety and was quite the quick thinker. His partner was Ventus Trox. His opponent and best friend Dan Kouzo who was a fiery Pyrus Brawler. Had a bad habit of rushing in head first though. Not the best idea in brawls but it was his unique brawling style. That's what he claims at least. His partner was the Pyrus Dragonoid who is most commonly known as . Both deeply engaged in the brawl. Dia watched every moment as her heart filled with content. The brawl ended in Dan's favor as Drago's Twisting Inferno outmatched Trox's Sonic Uproar. Though it was a close match since both were at 200 G.
"YES!! Drago won!! Way to go, Dan!! Wynton and Trox won't be defeated so easily next time! Bet on it!" Dia clearly favoredWynton above theother brawlers.
Yes, Bakugan. The strange creature who were now apart of their world since earth and their planet had merge. Vestoria the home of the bakugan. It was the Awesome Ones who first found them and created the game of brawling. It became the official sport and tradition of Los Vamos now.
"Brawling....." Dia repeated a bit outloud.
Brawling was what everyone seemed to be into now a days. Seemed like the fastest way to make friends.
Expect She had no bakugan and no brawling experience of her own. Sure she watched the videos of it. Heck she practically had all the rules memorized! Not that it aided in her literature grades. WRITING was harder than her reading! She could read any novel but writing something down is were she gets all nervous and messes up.
Other than cooking, writing was not her strong suit. She could count the times her uncle scolded her for the Fs and Ds on homeworks and tests.
"Dia? Are you finished unpacking?" A soft knock was at the door before a man opened it.
He was a tall and had an above average muscle build. Skin was a carmel brown like Dia. His hair was a shade of red with a black dye streak on the left side above his ear. His eyes were a forest green like color though Dia swears when he's mad, they turn into a devilish red. He wore a plain orange shirt that was covered by a light tan brown apron. Though all that covered the two were stains of flour, dough and what smelled like nutmeg. His jean pants were stained too. The only thing that seemed perfectly spotless were his brown sneakers.
How they were never stained or dirty were beyond the depths of Dia mind. Seriously, does her uncle have a spell casted over them?! If he was magic then maybe use a spell to help her with her writing. She could really use it.
"Umm...No. I was going to went I saw a video of the Awesome Ones....Sorry Uncle Jasper" Dia fiddled her fingers together nervous, awaiting what she assumed to be another scolding.
"Dia...." He paused before a soft sigh escaped his lips. Soon replaced with a soft smile. "Look sweetie, I am not mad. I know this is a big change for you since we just moved her. Tell ya what. How about we make a deal. You can go explore the area till dinner is ready then after dinner, you unpack the boxes. Sounds good?" He knew that she shouldn't be rushed. She was just a kid.
"Really?!" Her lit up face was all the confirmation he needed to see that she liked that agreement.
Dia practically rushed to get her shoes on.
"Though there are rules young lady!" His tone was the same level of serious as whenever she brought home a failed writing assignment.
Last time it felt like she was facing a final boss of a RPG game when he saw her F on her attemlt on poetry. The yelling felt more of a punishment than the week of no Television.
She missed the episode of Myu Myu Warrior Princess because of thay. She was ashamed to call herself a fan after that.
Now what could the rules be? She certainly didn't want to angry him again. He was a caring guy and took her after what had happened. Yet at times it feels like she lives with a drill sergeant.
"I only have four rules. If you can follow them, then I don't have to be all Oni mad again" He even had a name for it.
"O-okay" Dia replied nervously. , shaking just a bit.
"1. Be back at 6 on the dot. You know how I feel about you out before dark!
2. Don't talk to strangers. If any approach you then run away. We are still new to the area so please be cautious.
3. No leaving the area we live in. Anywhere beyond our neighborhood is off limits! SO DO NOT LEAVE THIS NEIGHBORHOOD OR THE AREA ASSOCIATED IN IT!
4.Under no means are you ever permitted into going into the forest here. News reports say there is a creature making a ruckus there. So under no circumstances is my dear Diana to go anywhere even close to there.
Understood?" The rules were fairly clear and seemed to be reasonable. Jasper did express his feeling how 3 and 4 were the ones he was serious about compare to 2 and 1.
Dia could only nod. Her voice lost at the immensity of his strong voice. Still felt like it was more of a soldier getting yelled by a drill sergeant. However if it meant she could explore, then call her soldier.
Jasper then hugged her before seeing her off. After Dia disappeared from his view, he sighed.
"I just hope she can finally be happy. May this place give her the one thing she needs now" He prayed.
His pray would soon be answered. In the form of something no one foresaw coming.
As Dia takes her first steps around Los Vamos, her journey as a Brawler would start fairly soon.
