Christmas time has always been a bland holiday for George. Sure he could celebrate with his friends, but his friends weren't with him, they were 4,000 miles away. The closest thing he got to actually celebrating was a call with his family as they wished each other Merry Christmas. He wished he could go and celebrate at home with his family, but he thought it was too much of a risk. With his level of popularity, and knowing some of his fans, he was scared he would be noticed and someone would know where his family lives, so he always kept his traveling to a minimum. The only times he lets himself travel is when he is filming with his UK friends, or the time he went to Twitchcon with Quackity and Karl. Hell, he rarely goes out to get groceries, usually getting them ordered to his door.

But he hoped this year would be different.

A few weeks ago he finally received the news that his Visa had been accepted. To say that George was ecstatic was an understatement. After getting the news, he immediately rushed to call his two friends, Dream and Sapnap, to tell them the news. The three celebrated on call together for several hours, happily talking about all the things the two Americans had planned for George to see and do once he arrived in Florida.

He booked his flight as soon as possible, knowing it would be hard trying to get a flight seeing as Christmas and New Years were a month away. He was lucky enough to get a flight at the beginning of December. He wished he could've gotten an earlier one, but he's grateful for what he got.

"Are you all packed?" George heard Dream ask him, voice slightly muffled over the speaker of his computer.

"Yes Dream, I have everything. I even triple checked like you said." George said, rolling his eyes at his friends' worry.

"Ok ok, I'm just worried you'll forget something." Dream said.

"I didn't have a lot in my house to begin with, so the chances of me forgetting something are slim." George said.

A comfortable silence fell over the two as George finished packing his last bag.

"Me and Sapnap went to the park yesterday." Dream suddenly said.

George stopped all movements for a second before resuming his packing.

"Was it a date?" George said. Trying to keep the bitterness from his tone. Don't get him wrong, he was happy that Dream and Sapnap were going out, but any time the two mentioned anything about being together, jealousy seeped through his veins. He tried not to dwell on it in the past, but years of jealousy of a relationship of the two people he admires most, doesn't just go away. He knew he had a crush on both his friends, but deep down he knew that his chances with either of them were none.

The day that Dream and Sapnap told George about their relationship together, was the day George felt his heart truly break for the first time. He had seen the way the two acted towards each other, he knew it was a high chance that they would get together, but it still hurt when they told him. He acted happy when he heard the news, but deep down, even though he was truly happy that his friends were together, he wanted to crush the feelings he had, forever.

But that obviously didn't happen, seeing as a couple years after he was told about Dream and Sapnap's relationship, he was still harboring feelings for the two of them.

"Mhm-hmm. He was the one who planned it, it was a nice surprise. We had a picnic under this really tall tree that looked over a lake. We got to see all types of birds and ducks there as well, it was really sweet." Dream said, fondness slipping through his tone like syrup.

"That sounds nice." George said.

He tried to sound interested in what Dream was telling him, but apparently he didn't do too well at that cause Dream perked up right away at his tone of voice.
