Part 3: Draw The line

"How is she?" Mikaela wanted to rip apart the documents she's holding right after Dave mentioned Jane.

"She seems fine. We don't actually talk that much Dave." She hates Jane. If she can just disappear she will be very happy. She met Dave first, fell in love first but at the end of the day, he still chose her sister.

"What did she tell you?"

"Dave, do you still love her?"

Dave's expression suddenly became sour. He loved Jane with all his heart and there's nothing he won't do for her. They grew up together, dreamt together, planned their future together but suddenly she had to marry somebody else.

"There's still a way you know..."

His eyes lit up and intensely listened to Mikaela. For the past months, even though he knew she liked him, he contacted her for Jane's sake. He misses her badly.

"I was the woman he's supposed to marry and listen...they offered me an agreement before the wedding."

"What do you mean?"

"She will get divorce soon. He only wanted a heir. You can pull her from him. Jane loves you deeply Dave, she's only doing this because of our company problem."

Dave leaned on the couch. He looks distressed.

"Who is he?"

"Caleb Herman"

His eyes widened. Him and Caleb grew up together since they were 5. His mom and Caleb's mom are best friends from college. He's not expecting that of all women, it's her woman who he married. He sighed.

"Don't you have something to do?"

"What?"

Mikaela was confused.

"I need to go somewhere."

She understood. When the door closed, Dave called his friend.

"Hey man.."

"Dave?"

"Yes, how are you? I heard you got married?"

There was silence for a minute. Caleb is like a brother to him but Jane is his life. She was his dream. He will never let her go no matter what.

'I have to have her even if it means I have to fight and lose my brother'

Skyline Company

"Dinner with my wife?"

He stopped for a moment. Before the wedding, he saw Jane looking at his and her sister's picture. She looks sad. It surprises him but it was the start of a fight on the inside. He knows she loves him and by the tone of it, he wanted to meet her and not him.

'I know what you're doing Dave...' he told himself.

"I'm sorry we can't go."

He did not give any reason to him. He needs to draw the line.

"Boss, is that Dave?"

"Yeah.."

Bodie fixed his eyeglasses. Confused by his boss's expression.

"Cancel my meetings today, I need to accompany Jane to the hospital."

Bodie's attitude became more lively after he heard the "hospital".

"It's not what you think but she's having headaches almost everyday."

He checked his phone to call Jane.

"Get ready, I'll pick you up in 15 minutes."

"Okay."

"Okay. See you! I love you!"

Jane was startled with what she heard. 'Did I heard it right? Impossible!'

"O-okay...s-see you." She immediately hung up the phone. Blushing. What they did yesterday filled her thoughts the whole day. She can't believe she gave in.

"There's nothing wrong right? He wants a child anyway..." Every time she remembers she had to carry his child, she felt sadness knowing she would not be able to take care of her own child. Just like her mom to her.

"What should I do?..."
