Bursting Lust

The moment he saw her fall asleep on the couch, Zen decided that he would take care of her, which meant staying awake till she wakes up. After cleaning and bandaging everything he deemed necessary, he placed a blanket on her and walked away. He didn't sleep at all since the moment she was unconscious. He knew that sleeping wouldn't help much if she woke up with a headache. He sat on the couch next to her. He observed her for a few minutes. Her face looked peaceful and relaxed. He smiled slightly. She seems not aware of her lusty, he thought. He looked at her again and observed her face. It's been so long since he last studied her. He watched her sleeping peacefully. She looked so beautiful. She seemed so vulnerable sitting there. Her expression softened as she slept. For now, he would protect her and helped with her cases which involved the human eating demons. He wanted to do this for her. He wanted to save her from her pain, from her sorrows and her fears.

Yuki opened her eyes slowly. It took her a couple of seconds to recognize the room around her. She was lying comfortably in a couch. She remembered everything. Her dream and her fight with the male demon. She groaned. She still had a headache. She tried to sit up but she winced in pain. Her whole body ached. She touched her stomach and felt that it was a bit swollen. She raised her eyebrows and stood up. She stretched her arms above her head. "It hurts."She muttered. "So does your chest." A voice answered from the other side of the room.

The girl flinched at the sound. Zen appeared from the kitchen with an apron on him. "You were wounded, miss. Of course it hurts. Why don't you take a meal to heal those wounds?" he said calmly. She approached the dining table and he served some dishes on it. Since when the last time someone cooked for her? She glanced at him questioningly and he shrugged. "I know you prefer rice dishes for dinner, but I didn't know what else to make you. So, I made some." He smiled brightly at her and Yuki simply blushed slightly. She wasn't used to any type of gesture like that. He handed her a bowl and a spoon and sat next to her. They ate in silence. Then, Yuki cleared her throat.
"How long do you want to linger in this world?" she asked.

"How long? Hmm, I don't know. I will go back to my realm if I need to." he replied. "Beside, you are the demons' target. How can I leave you?"

"You are demon as well." Yuki commented.

"Hahah, but, I am different. I believe I have told you already who am I." His eyes gleamed into her sight.

"So, where are you going to live then?" Yuki asked as she ate her pasta.

"I don't know. Do you mind if I live here?"

Yuki almost choked by his proposal. She and him live together? That sounded terrible. She hated to have someone in her private place. Zen stared at her drinking her water with a smile, "How is it? It doesn't sound bad. I can pay with my power and time to help your cases. Plus! Dealing with the human eating demons!" He proposed full of spirit.

"Well, you did save my life and also helped me when I was in danger. You might think that you deserve something more in return than thanks, right?" She argued.

"You are quite stubborn, aren't you?"He chuckled.

"Maybe I am, but at least I try to repay you properly." she replied.

"You can after you are aware of your own wish. Until that time, I will be waiting."he said. He stood up and went to the fridge.

"I'll be in the living room if you need anything." he said and left her alone in the dining room.

The girl stared at the place where he had just stood and sighed. What did she want? To be loved? To be happy? She wasn't sure anymore. She didn't even know if love was even possible, let alone to her. When he mentioned her lusty didn't wake up yet, it made her thinking even more. She stared at her empty plate, "I think I'd rather die than having a happy ending." she murmured softly.
