Of course it began with a mirror, and my usual luck, which is bad.
If anything can go wrong for me, it will. I think that the chances increase when I'm particularly worried about something. If I care about the test, I miss half the questions. If I freak out because I might have left my phone at home, of course I did. That's how it works.
It began with a mirror. I don't remember smashing one, but I think I did. I wasn't a superstitious person before the last two years, but recently I've been taking things seriously. Don't spill the salt or step on a crack, or open umbrellas inside. Stay away from black cats. I've gotten used to it.
There is only one thing I never got used to, and that was the full length mirror that once stood in the corner of my bedroom. In fact, if you think about it, that's the reason why I no longer have any mirrors in my house.
And if you think about it enough, you'll come to the conclusion that it was the original cause of my miserable last two years.
