He took Evan's hand again, moving along the rows of party tables, bracing himself in case he heard a robot's voice.

"I can help," came Roxy, though she was nowhere to be seen.

"Gregory, up there," Evan said, pointing to the roof of a small boxed area labelled Party Check-In. It was hard to see, but Monty was up there, moving a spotlight back and forth, almost like a searchlight. Gregory moved to the side, avoiding it pretty easily.

"Don't be scared," Monty's voice growled.

"Who wants candy?" came Chica, though her voice was painfully distant. Maybe on the second floor.

The two moved around the box, making their way to the motionless escalators.

"Freddy said the booth was on the third floor," Gregory said, both to remind himself and instruct Evan.

And yet, as he reached the top, he found something strange.

"Why are there so many security barriers now?" he asked, noticing the fence-like wall in front of the second escalator. He looked around for another way up.

"We could always...move them," Evan suggested quietly.

Gregory blinked, looking back at the boy. "I dunno why I forget that's an option. What if they're too heavy to move?"

"We could climb over," Evan responded. "Although if they were added here that quickly, I'm sure they can be taken away pretty fast, too." He grabbed a barrier, dragging it open enough for the two boys to slip through.

"Glad you're here, Evan. No idea why I didn't think of that."

Evan allowed a small smile, filing right after Gregory. The two made it up, and Gregory was about to make a break for it when something made him stop.

He held his hand out in front of Evan, sinking low. "Chica," he whispered. He looked over and saw the DJ-like area only a few feet away. "And that's where the disc goes."

"Your family is looking for you," Chica said sweetly, looking around. The taunt was pretty pointless, if Gregory was being honest. It's not like he...

He decided not to finish the thought.

"Gregory..." she sing-songed, still unmoving. It was like she knew he was lurking.

After a few more minutes of Chica not moving, Gregory got an idea.

"Evan," Gregory whispered, "you know how the robots don't...see you?"

Evan tensed, looking over to the DJ-like area as his hand moved up to his head. "Yea...?"

Gregory took the disc out of his pocket. "You put the disc in the player. Chica won't leave. You're the best shot we have."

Evan tentatively took the disc, looking back at Chica and the booth. He stood up, taking a step forward when Chica didn't react. He took another step, and another, and another, until he made his way over to the booth, where Gregory couldn't quite see him. Gregory moved down the escalator, reaching the halfway platform where Evan was barely visible. He could tell Evan was confused by the amount of different things all around the area, and wished he could shout directions at him without giving himself away.

Evan looked at the disc for a while, and eventually something must've clicked in his head, because he began searching for something, and seemed relieved to find it there. He moved, apparently sliding the disc into place, because all of a sudden music began blasting from the other side of the giant room. He looked over to the stage, seeing giant holograms all standing on stage. The only things missing were the real animatronics, and Freddy's faulty body didn't quite count.
