Ray's NSX skidded to a halt as she slammed on the brakes. The British man beside her, holding on to his seat for dear life. "CHILL CHILL CHILL" Randy yelped in his trademark semi-panicked high pitched voice.

"What'd I do this time?" Randy continued, his voice taking on a pleading tone this time. "Ray c'mon, man's dont wanna die out here I got so much shit to live for my bruddah."

Inwardly, his antics had already lifted Ray's spirits a ton, but instead of making her mood change apparent, she simply ignored him, averted her attention back to the road. She accelerated the car towards the jump off the bridge.

The car went airborne. She was smiling to herself at how frantic Randy sounded as he begged Ray to slow down but she didn't let that quench the fire burning within her. She was mad -not at him, though he didn't quite know that yet- but at Lana because of her supposed untrustworthiness.

"All I asked was one stupid thing... can't even do that... no good...." she trailed off, rambling to herself about how twisted her budding relationship with Lana had become over the past week.

Her car landed with a crash and they skidded across the road, crashing into a light pole as Ray undid her harness. She was breathing heavily and as she looked over at Randys semi- panicked look she gave him a small grin. He let out a small hee in turn. She laughed in defeat, knowing very well that she could rarely be able to stay mad at him for very long.

They sat in the car for a few silent moments before Ray slammed her head against the steering wheel, honking the horn for a long period of time and she noticed Randy jump slightly at her impulsiveness.

She chuckled and got out of the car and he followed, the two of them surveying the damage to her beloved NSX, her engine noticeably steaming. She'd fix it later, she decided.

Shaking off his uneasiness at Ray's earlier outburst of rage, Randy forged ahead and decided to get it over with.

"Damn Ray what happened I thought you loved your new car, huh?"

Ray sighed, her adrenaline wearing off. . "Lana's just pissing me off, I don't know. I just feel like I can't trust her anymore. Actually I don't think I can trust very many people these days," she said, chuckling humorlessly.

"Yea, you can only really trust your family in this city. And, well, I guess your real family. Yuno. Ya' know? Ha!"

Ray rolled her eyes at his stupid attempt at a joke, shaking her head in disbelief.

"Whatever Randy!" She laughed walking away from him and her NSX.

Suddenly she heard running footsteps.  Before she could process what was happening, he had playfully tackled her to the ground and had her trapped beneath him.

"Hey man don't you dare run away from me again, aight" Randy joked, getting up off of the ground and walking away from her.

Ray scurried to her feet and hurried to shove Randy, laughing during the process. At the back of her mind, Ray realized this was one of those few times they were messing around with each other, and that no one other than themselves were there to hold witness.

They continued like this for some time, goofing around and playing practical jokes on the other, like Randy hauling Ray over his shoulder to drop her in a fountain, or Ray maniacally laughing as she chased Randy down on a busted bicycle she found leaning against a building.
