Decarabian. Oh how he loathed that man that was his so called father. His "Father" only cared about himself, never really paying attention to his citizens, leaving them to die on the streets in the cold. He closed Mondstadt City's borders, only Royals and Guests were allowed in.
Venti only visited the outside once when his mother was still alive. He remembers it as clear as yesterday, it was so beautiful. The weather was so warm, there were flowers, birds, trees that weren't on the verge of collapsing everywhere. Oh how he missed the fresh air, but it all went down hill since that incident.
Too absorbed in his thoughts Venti didn't notice the door to his room opening, Jean in the middle of the frame.
"Your Highness," She started as a worried expression presented itself on her face, "The King requested your presence." Great. Speak of the Devil. He better stop isolating himself in his room. Venti faked a smile on his face,
"Right away, Jean. Thank you for informing me." He just wanted her to leave him alone.
"Your Highness, please don't give me that look. I've known you long enough to know you're dreading meeting the king, but please try." Jean said looking right in his eyes. Right...Jean always knew him like the back of her hand.
"Thank you for your encouraging words, Jean. I'll be sure to be on my best behavior."
She chuckled, her eyes softening, "I sure hope so, Your Highness. Kaeya will be waiting for you outside of your hall."
"Yes, thank you. I'll get ready in a few minutes." Venti reassured her. Jean nodded, closing the door behind her. He groaned, he better start getting ready. He got off the bed, making his way to his closet, glacing at himself in the mirror conveniently placed on the door of the closet. Did he always look like this? His eye bags are getting worse. Oh well, he'll worry about that later, he needs to get this meeting with his father done already.
Venti put on a teal colored corset with a black belt circling his waist, dark colored poofy shorts, and white tights. That'll do for now. Venti put his hair in his signature braids and opened the door.
He walked down the hall until he spotted Kaeya, his most trusted personal guard. "Your Highness, you've arrived." Kaeya bowed.
"Kaeya, you of all people shouldn't be using formalities on me, and especially don't bow to me." Venti always hated how he was treated like he was someone worth all of this. He was only born in a royal family after all.
Venti heard kaeya scoff as he regained his posture. "Your Highness, I couldn't."
"Yes you can, Kaeya." Venti crossed his arms.
"Fine, Your High- Venti. Let's get going to meet the king, we can't keep chatting here idly." Venti nodded in agreement, the faster they arrive the faster he can enjoy his time in the royal garden.
"Ah Kaeya?" Venti asked interrupting the silence as they walked,
"Yes, Venti?" Good, he's finally dropping the formalities.
