Dahyun's punishment might have lasted the whole day, but once all the chores were done, she happily let the five students go off to enjoy the nights activities. Though no one really understood what they were celebrating [since this week had been hell for most of them], the retreat threw some kind of party for the last night. Grills lined the outside of the food hall, where the chefs were cooking up a storm for tonight dinner, and a huge screen was set up in the central hub, playing classic Disney films for the kids to watch while eating.
Plate in hand, Heeseung waltzes up to the large table of food, slotting himself beside a familiar face. He scans the tables options, ribs, steak, burgers, hot dogs; all the staples of a good BBQ. This was clearly the meat table, as he couldn't see any side dishes, but there were other tables set up.
Gaeul was in the middle of picking up a burger, when she notices the red head. "Haven't seen you much this week." She smirks at him, before glancing over to Jake, who was scooping a heavy spoonful of potato salad onto his plate. "You guys seem happy."
A soft smile appears on Heeseung's face as he looks over to Jake. "It's still early, but I'd say it's going pretty good so far."
"Pretty good?" Gaeul nudges him hard, which causes him to wince and bring his focus back to her. "I've never seen you smile so much, and I'm not the only one who's noticed. Everyone's talking about you and Jake."
It's not like Heeseung hadn't heard them, he just didn't care. Simply being popular meant that everyone was always talking about you. No matter how much he believed it was no one elses business, he couldn't change the way it is. "I guess I've broken some hearts then." Instead of getting annoyed, he just laughs it off.
"Literally! I've seen people crying about it." Gaeul replies, sounding as if she didn't believe what she had actually seen. "It's ridiculous, they barely know you. Don't they have real issues to cry about?"
Heeseung just shrugs, and picks up some food for his plate. He'd been here for a few minutes already and hadn't gotten any food, so he decides it's about time to get some. "So, did you ever figure it out?"
"Figure what out?"
"If you're in love with that person."
A rosy red blush lights up Gaeul's pale cheeks. "I thought you'd forget about that..."
"I wanted to work out who the person was, but I got a bit side tracked." Despite being distracted by Jake this week, Heeseung never forgot about his conversation with Gaeul, and was still very curious to know who the person was. "It's fine if you don't wanna tell me, but I'd like to know if you got an answer."
A few seconds of silence pass, before Gaeul hums quietly. "I think I am in love with them, but I'm not going to do anything about it."
"Why? The worse thing they can do is reject you, but imagine if they don't, you could be as happy as me and Jake." Heeseung tries to encourage her, but she seemed set in her ways.
"What's good is good." Gaeul smiles halfheartedly. "I don't need to rock the boat right now."

"Guys! Look who just called!" Gaeul comes running over excitedly, with Heeseung trailing quickly behind her.
Sunoo, Sunghoon, Jake, Rei, Riki, Yujin and Wonyoung were all sat down watching 'Beauty and the beast' while they ate, before Gaeul stole their attention, spinning the phone around to show Jay and Jungwon on the bus together.
"You made up!" Sunoo squeals happily.
"We did, but I'm gonna need someone to get my stuff for me, because I kinda left it all behind." Jungwon chuckles and looks to Jay, who just kisses his forehead gently.
The group collectively cheers for the kiss, and Jungwon hides his face in embarrassment. "Look at you showing off!" Sunghoon hollers.
"Just marking my territory." Jay states proudly, causing the group to erupt in cheer again.
After talking to Jungwon and Jay for a few more minutes, everyone goes back to eating and watching the film. Gaeul stays on the phone with them though, as she makes a list of everything she needs to pack for Jungwon.
About half way through 'Beauty and the beast', the screen abruptly shuts off. Which confuses everyone for about half a second before the screen comes back on, showing a still image of the forest.
"I'm sure you all want to get back to the film, and don't worry, I won't take up too much time." Principle Im says, as she walks in front of the screen. "This has been such a lovely week, and I hope you've all had a wonderful time. Since it's our last night, I wanted us to look back on the week we've had, so please enjoy." With that, she steps away from the screen, and the video begins to play.
Rei turns to the group. "It's probably Jiwon's video." She didn't even refer to it as hers anymore, considering Jiwon didn't want to include any of her ideas.
"Great it's just gonna be those dumb interviews." Sunghoon groans.
"I hope it's not too long." Jake sighs, he was really invested in the film.
At first the video starts quiet, with a light piano melody playing over b roll of the forest, the river, and the sky. It had everyone pretty much bored to death. Then completely out of no where, a louder, more energetic beat replaces the piano, and the video follows suit. It becomes more exciting, showing all of the fun stuff they got up to this week. It showed Sunoo and Heeseung trying to get the key from the birds nest, the wasp nest incident, Rei annihilating capture the flag, Gaeul and Sunghoon splashing each other in the canoe, Sunoo and Jake failing to reel in a fish, and so much more. By the time it ended, it had everyone smiling, because there was a lot of good things to remember about this week.
It was surprising that Jiwon had managed to put together something everyone actually enjoyed, but no one was more surprised than Rei. That was all of her footage, and at the very end of the video, the credits only showed her name. She needed to find Jiwon, so she jumped to her feet, and frantically looked around. It seemed she wasn't the only one searching, as the two locked eyes from across the hub, and dramatically went running to each other.
"I'm sorry I didn't listen to you! You're the most important person to me! I can't exist without you Rei!" Jiwon proclaims with tears in her eyes. "Please forgive me!"
"I will on one condition, you have to promise me things will be different. I want to be your equal Jiwon." Rei states in a serious tone. She wasn't just going to forgive her that easily, she needed to know that Jiwon was willing to change.
"I promise!" Jiwon sticks out her pinky finger, and after a moment of hesitation, Rei smiles before wrapping her pinky around it. "So we're okay?"
"Of course not!" Rei yelps. "Why are you letting me take all the credit?! You did an amazing job editing!"
"Because I'd have nothing to edit if you didn't take all those clips!"
"Still I can't take all of the credit!"
Watching the whole ordeal from afar, Sunoo can't help but laugh. The two girls were always so dramatic.
