𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝘀𝘁, 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟵, started out like any normal day for Kennedy Cameron. She woke up, got dressed, and went shopping with her friends. Once she got back to her house, she started getting ready for the sleepover she was having with her friends that evening. The friend group had sleepovers almost every weekend, although this sleepover and summer was different. Elena had been away all summer so the sleepovers had stopped, considering she was the one who managed them. She was getting back from her trip that evening, making it the perfect opportunity for a sleepover before school started again.
"here have a sip," bodhi laughed as he handed kennedy the navy blue cup filled with an alcoholic drink
"no thanks," Kennedy replied, handing the drink back to the intoxicated boy
The girl had never really been into drinking, finding that drinking just caused more harm than good. The group always tried to get her to drink whenever they were at parties or just hanging out, but she had always turned them down. Her family already had problems with alcohol, she didn't need to become like them. Kennedy was brought out of her thoughts when the power all of a sudden went out, the blasting of "Poker Face" coming to a sudden stop.
"what the hell," finnick mumbled, pushing himself off of the ground and walking over to the radio, wanting to know what happened
"It's just the storm Finn," Kennedy told the boy as she pushed herself up from the floor, going to head outside to check the power box
As she neared the door, she heard a squeaky noise coming from outside. She wasn't sure what it was, but it was loud enough for everyone in the group to jump up in panic. They rushed over to Kennedy and held her arm tightly. She ignored them as she started to walk forward again, although this time, the barn door swung open. Rain and thunder could be heard even more clearly now, which scared Kennedy if she was being honest. Storms and loud noises had never been her thing. Kennedy turned back to the group, putting her finger up to her mouth, informing them to stay quiet as she went to see what happened. And just as she got to the door, multiple figures jumped out in front of her.
"Gotcha" Elena and Lou laughed as they leaned against the barn doors, ignoring the fact that their friends were scared half to death in front of them
