There's a lot of different groups of people at school. Different ways those groups interact with other groups. Then there's the loners, the people who rarely interact with other students, the ones who don't really fit in anywhere. Or they have social anxiety like me.
My name is Reba (Ree•bah) , I'm a sophomore, an artist, and a social piranha.
The first day of sophomore year and I haven't slept all night. The idea of finding a cute boy in the halls, bumping into each other and watching as he gets down and picks my books up for me, his fingers lingering a little when he hands me back my books.I find myself smiling like an idiot in the mirror, I curl my lashes before applying mascara trying to distract myself from getting my hopes up. After all, my luck with boys hasn't been going well for the past 16 years, why would it suddenly turn around.

I walk out of the house with my backpack and music blasting in my ears, the cold January winds messing up my bangs in the process. I have enough time to get to the bus stop.Jungkook's POV:
Getting on the city bus has to be one of the best escapes, I hit my cart (weed pen) one more time before the bus gets to my stop. I see a girl on board. She's wearing this white crop top and jeans. Her glasses round and gold. She looks so clean and preppy.
We make eye contact and she looks away immediately. Smiling to herself as she fidgets with her fingers. I couldn't help but smile at the sight. She's so different from me, is that why I find her so attractive?
I sit down a few rows behind her, as more people get on I see a few older men staring at her. Perverts.
I find myself staring them down, letting them know I see what they're doing.-
She gets off a few bus stops before mine. I watch her as she waves and smiles at the bus driver before getting off. The little sense of hope fizzles away as the bus drives past her.
"I saw you eyeing her, do you guys go to the same school?" An older man with dark skin and a cane asks me as he turns the page in his crossword book.
"I don't think so." I say not wanting to engage in a conversation with the stranger.
"She seems like a sweet girl, if you don't want her for the right reasons I think it's best you stay away." The old man's voice triggers some sort of anger and frustration in me.
Before I know it I look up from my phone and turn to look at him, he does the same but in a calmer motion, "I don't know you, so don't act like you know me." I say through gritted teeth. I couldn't help but feel attacked by his remark.
I see my bus stop up ahead so I press the button for the bus to stop. The old man picks up his pencil and begins to write in his book, "Your vape fell out of your pocket, but that girls inhaler fell out of hers." The man chuckles as the bus comes to a stop. I look down to where the girl was sitting and I realize her inhaler did fall onto the floor. He tosses me my pen and then her inhaler.
I get off the bus without another word.
The whole walk to school I kept thinking about what he said, my mind was too foggy to be able to process anything. I put my pen in my pocket and realize there's a piece of paper and a bottle of eye drops in my pocket. I open the note and read aloud "Your eyes are a little red."
Reba's POV:
I stand outside my class nervously, I'm already 10 minutes late because I decided to walk here and everyone was already in class. I pace in-front of the door not wanting to face the students stares.
