Going home

Daisy pov

I spent a few days in hospital, as I got back my hydration and nutrients. It had been a long time since I had a proper sleep, so it was bliss simply to be lay in a bed without the worry that I may be murdered, or worse, raped. Jasper stayed by my side. He only left once a day to go and hunt. Normally he wouldn't hunt that much. But with being in a hospital around blood constantly, it was safer to make sure he never went even slightly hungry. But finally, after 3 years, I'm going home. The police have taken my statements and I'm clear to go wherever I like as a free adult, no longer a child

"Let me" jasper says forcing me to sit down as I began to pack

"I can pack a bag you know. Not like I've got much with me anyway" I mumble to him but he just grips my shoulders to look at him

"Darling, you are not discharged until we officially leave the hospital. So until then, I will be treating you like a patient" he then starts packing for me

"Oh please, we both know you'll be treating me like a patient for the rest of eternity"

"As long as you are taken care for, then yes, I don't mind the sound of that" he kissed my forehead and I flopped on the bed, sighing deeply

"What's up buttercup?" Jasper asked me

"Nothing" I grumble picking at my nails. He moves me hands apart to stop me and sits me back up, taking a seat next to me

"It's just...when I was 15, I never understood why we couldn't be together. Of course, now I see how weird it would've been. But at the time, I felt so grown up, like I had to be with you. And it hurt to know it wasn't possible. Now I'm 18, I get that I'm still a child, you're like hundreds of years old so I'll always appear young to you. But you're only one year older physically and I just thought that maybe...now things are different...we could...ya know...sort of" jasper sighs and takes my hands in his

"I know. I always felt bad for making you feel unwanted but it was the only way. I love you Daisy. You are my mate and mine alone. But I don't want our first kiss to be in a hospital room, I want it to be special, because thats what you deserve" he kisses my hand and goes back to packing. I smile to myself, things would be different now. I wasn't the kid of the family, I was their equal...sort of...less cool since I'm human but physically...their equal.

Jasper drove me home, his hand on my thigh as my leg bounced anxiously

"You'll be fine darling. I promise, they'll be thrilled to see you alive" jasper promises but I wasn't so sure. I'd left them, when things got tough I ran away. I regret my decision but I also think, if I had stayed, then I would've been dragged away by social services and I'd probably be hundreds of miles away right now. We walk into the house and immediately everyone is downstairs

"Jasper, why does it smell like human?" Rose groans walking downstairs until she rounds the corner

"Oh...my....god" her face is in shock before a huge grin is spread across her face. With an outcry of joy, rose hugs me and kisses my cheek. Emmet does the same thing. One by one, everyone greets me until it is just Connor left

"I'm glad you got out while you could Daisy. You made the right choice" I smile and jump into his arms. I was home and it felt amazing

"So this is where jasper has been sneaking off to" esme laughs

"Daisy has been in hospital for a few days getting her health back. I didn't want to leave her again" jasper mutters. I look at Edward who is smirking because he knew full well but didn't want to spoil the surprise. Cocky bastard

"Rude" Edward grumbles as I laugh

"So, you're engaged to Bella! Honestly, I'm impressed you managed to keep a girl for that long. Omg! Does that mean you won't be a 100 year old virgin for much longer?" I ask as he sighs. If he could blush, he would

"Shut up" he mutters before walking out the door. Most likely to meet Bella

"Have you had dinner yet?" Alice asks

"No she hasnt" jasper answers for me. He was very annoyed that the hospital didn't give me dinner today since we left around that time. I tried to explain it but he didn't agree with me

"Well I'll make sure you're fed. What will it be? Home made pizza? Steak pie? Casserole? Pasta? Anything at all!" Esme was very excited to cook for me

"Erm...how about your famous steak pie. I've missed it" esme squeals happily as she runs off to the kitchen. I go upstairs with jasper and put my clothes away. Only difference, I put them away in jasper's room, not my old one. There's a double bed in there which I look at, before meeting jasper's eyes and wiggling my eyebrows making him laugh

"So go on then lover boy, what could you possibly need a bed for?" I ask

"Well, I don't need one. Not unless my girlfriend decides she wants to lose her virginity to me" he winks making me laugh out loud

"My virginity? Oh you're so cute and so naive" I was almost crying with laughter

"You're not a virgin?" He asks shocked as he sits opposite me on the bed

"Of course not! I met you when I was 15!"

"Er...daisy...most 15 year old are still virgins. I'm not just saying that based on my time. But it's true even for the modern era" he tells me

"No....you're lying...wait...seriously....nooo!" I was in denial

"I'm deadly serious. So go on, how did you lose it?" He asks curious

"I was 13, in a Foster home, and there was a boy. He was a year older than me. Anyway, he was also a Foster kid and hated the family as much as me. So at night, we'd sneak out together and go for joyrides in stolen cars through fields. One day, we had sex in the field. Not the most romantic of places but could've been worse. So what about you, you still a virgin?" I ask

"Not all of us are as....old fashioned as edward" he laughs

"Ooo do tell" I was intrigued

"Well, there was a girl in texas. She was 18 and I was 17. I was leaving to join the army the next day. A mentor of mine, he told all us lads to go to the whore house and get fucked because it would be our last chance for a long time. I was going to, but on my way, I met with a girl I'd had a crush on for a year or so. We talked and long story short, I was almost late to leave for the army because i woke up in her bed" I burst out laughing on the bed

"A gentleman doesn't kiss then tell" he winks at me, kissing my cheek and then leaving me in shock. That's when esme called me down for dinner
