new start

"Bye mom and dad!", I say with tears in my eyes and hug them tightly.

After we had our cry session I head on over to the security check with my two huge suitcases.

"Just landed in Paris!", I say to my phone.

I promised my mom i was going to send her videos of me every day, so might as well keep the promise !

I walked out of the airport and smelled the fresh Parisian air.

I see the taxi that is going to drive me to my dorm.

"Conduisez-moi à l'Université Panthéon-Assas, s'il vous plaît", I said confidently

I have been studying french for 5 years now i so i was comfortable telling the taxi driver to take me to my university.

I have been interested in politics and law since i was a little girl and here I am driving to my law university!
The little girl inside me was screaming.

The taxi driver dropped me off and I thanked him politely.

When I got to my dorm room I was greeted by my new roommate.

"Hiiiiiiiiii", she said excitedly.
"Im Hannah, and you?"

I did not expect to meet any english speakers at university.

"Hey! Im Uma", I said.
"Where are you from Hannah", I asked curiously.

"Im from Canada", she said.
"I have been living in France for 7 years now but I want to practice my english with you"

She seems really nice and fun. I think we'll have fun.

I looked out the window. I was amazed by the view.

A new start.
