Ranks have been a staple in the world of GreyRose. Everyone is classified by their rank. You can really only live in GreyRose if you have a rank. If you don't have a rank, you are nothing. You can't have a job and if you can't have a job, what do you have?

Not money.

Not a house.

And most definitely not a family.

But first, everyone has to understand what ranks are, and I suppose you are one of them that must learn.

So please, let me explain.

There are 12 ranks. Each one specializing in one category of weaponry. You must start training from the moment you start walking. Typically, your parents will pick the weapon you learn as you can't yourself, but there are some stragglers that manage to learn a different one by the time of testing.

On your 13th birthday, you must take the test. The test that confirms whether or not your training with that weapon is good enough to be given that rank. If you are, then congratulations. You are an official Rank administered trainee. Before, you were just a trainee.

Now of course, the training doesn't stop there. You train until you are ready for tryouts. The ZELCH tryouts. The only thing that matters after your rank testing.

You can tryout for ZELCH when you are the ages of sixteen to twenty-one. After that, good job. You wasted your entire life training just to miss a deadline that determines your place in this world.

Tryouts are 9 months long and are placed every other year. Over a thousand people try out, but only ninety-six are selected to make it. Eight from each division.

So what happens to the rest?

They end up being the ones cooking the food for the next trainees at ZELCH. Of course with little to no pay, but majority end up on the streets, begging for anything they can get their hands on. However, if they're really miserable, they'll go to REALM-36, a neighboring city of GreyRose that's a horrific monarchy and simply a weak establishment.

GreyRose and REALM-36 signed a treaty years ago, confirming peace would be consistent for the rest of the cities existence. REALM-36 has agreed to allow any citizens of GreyRose to join their home, but none of R-36's citizens could become one of GreyRose's. The training is simply too sophisticated to allow any outsiders to join and the competition is easily too fierce.

REALM-36 is for the weak anyway.

But anywho, lets introduce the ranks and the creators.
