Shuji was the sweetest little boy growing up.
His parents loved how curious the boy was, loving how his eyes would shine in innocence when he would find something new.
Even before he got his quirk diagnosis, he had always been so interested in heroes.
He found it so cool that they would risk their own safety just to help other people.
But if you had to ask him, he would say his favorite hero was Present Mic.
He's not sure why, he just seemed to get so excited whenever the man would appear on TV.
When he was diagnosed with his quirk, his parents were shocked when they found out how powerful it was.
His quirk - telekinesis - was odd to them though, considering his mothers quirk was heat manipulation, and his fathers quirk was wind control, but the doctor said that new "mutant" quirks weren't that uncommon.
At first, he found it hard to control his quirk. But with his father's help, he learned how to regulate it pretty well.
During this time, he had made friends with a boy his age named Eijiro Kirishima, helping the boy get a toy that was stuck in a tree.
At first, the boy was really shy, but the two would grow close over the years.
One day, the six year old was waiting for Kirishima outside, as the two had scheduled a play date at his house.
His parents were inside, his father was doing paperwork, and his mother was making lunch.
She was going to tell Shuji that the food was ready, but when she got onto the porch, he wasn't in the yard.
At first, she thought that he was somewhere on the sidewalk, but as she looked around more, he wasn't anywhere in sight.
Panicked, she ran inside and told her husband, and the two set out in the neighborhood to see if they could find him.
Unfortunately, there wasn't any sign of their son.
His mother - Kokumi, called the police while her husband - Sumai, drove around the immediate area, rationalizing that he had to be somewhere.
The operator sent out a couple police cars to scout the neighborhood, but they never ended up finding anything.
"When was the last time you saw him?" One of the officers asked, Kokumi being on the verge either of passing out, crying, or both.
"He- he was just in the yard playing.." She choked out, noticing her husband walking inside.
"Did you find anything?" She asked hopefully, walking up to him.
He only shook his head, looking disappointedly at her.
She felt like her whole world came crashing down when gradually, almost every officer that had gone out radioed in, saying they found nothing.
She let out a frustrated cry as she hid her head in Sinai's chest, her emotions finally coming coming crashing down on her like a tidal wave.
"The best thing I would say is to get some rest, and keep a phone nearby just in case."
Sumai l's eyes widened at the officers advice. "You don't think..."
"Its only a precaution, but we can't know for sure." The officer said, sympathetically to the couple.
By the time Mrs. Kirishima came by with Eijiro, they were met with the sight of about four police cars parked outside.
Kokumi noticed another car pull into their driveway, the three walking out to meet them.
