Alyssa's point of view I'm laying in bed peacefully while reading when I hear a knock on the door I open it and see my best friend jace who has tears in his eyes before I can say anything he runs into the room seemly searching for something "jace what's wrong" I ask him "where do you want me to start" he asks sitting on my bed laying his head on my lap "from the beginning" I say looking down at him "well first Clary and Alec have been going behind our backs which now I know why you broke up with Alec and I understand why you didn't tell me then after I break up with Clary I lock myself in my room then I cry myself to sleep then I have a nightmare that you were killed by a demon and I lost you before I had the chance to tell you how much I love you and I was only dating Clary to hide my feelings because I knew you didn't feel the same and then I came here and you know the rest" he says breaking down "jace did you just say you love me" I ask hopeful "y-yeah i-i did" he says "jace I love you too I have since we were like 15 Ijust don't know how to tell you" I say "y-you have" he asks sniffling I smile leaning down to kiss him "did that answer your question" I ask after we pull away for air "definitely" looking up at me before pulling me down into a hug I smile as I fall asleep cuddling with my new boyfriend I smile as I hear him whispering affirmations of love
