JUNGKOOK POV

It's been two days since we've been here and Taehyung has been ignoring me like he said he would. He's ignoring his father as well which is honestly quite amusing. He's been leaving the house and not telling him. He won't even say a word to me and just drag me along like a dog. Though I understand why.

What happened three nights ago was a very shocking awakening for him. He knows what really goes on in his father's company and wants nothing to do with it.

Jimin's family was infuriated when they heard of the accident. Jimin had told them is was an attempt to kidnap Taehyung. Technically it was not a lie. He just didn't mention the whole mafia thing. He also said nothing how he shot the man. He had told his parents I got shot trying to disarm him and that the man was in jail now. His parents even came to the house to thank me for saving their son.

His mother was almost in tears. I felt bad for them not knowing the full truth, but I know if they knew Taehyung would lose his best friend. I heard a knock on the door and looked up from the file. I saw Taehyung standing there hugging himself. I frowned and saw the tears stained to his cheeks.

"What happened?" He wiped his face and tucked his hair behind his ear. "Don't you dare say I told you so.." He looked at me over his glasses and I frowned putting my pen down and tossed the file on my desk. "Taehyung what happened?"

He bit his lips together and looked back in the hall and walked into my room shutting the door. "Where's your gun?" "In the safe. Why are you asking?" He nodded and walked over sitting in my lap. "What are you doing?!" "Making sure you can't grab your gun." He huffed and I saw how more tears built up in his eyes.

I leaned back and nodded softly. "Okay I won't touch it. Tell me what happened." "A man cornered me while I was walking to the gas station.." I raised a brow and he rubbed his arms. "And let's just say he wasn't a fan. Not a nice one at least.." I glanced down at his hands and saw his wrists were bruised.

He went to speak again but I stopped him. "Shh you don't need to finish." He bit his lips together and glanced at me tears falling from his eyes. I sighed softly and wiped his face with my sleeve. "You were right okay I can't protect myself.." He sniffled and tugged his sleeves down on his sweater. "So are you going to let me do my job now?" He nodded and perched his lips.

"I'll tell you when I'm going out from now on.." I nodded softly and tilted my head looking at him. "You know I have to tell your father right?" He nodded and got up from my lap. "Do you remember what he looked like?" He sighed and nodded. "Vividly.." I watched how he tugged on his clothes and saw the hickey on his neckline. I got up and went to my closet and grabbed a sweater and sweatpants limping back over to him. "Here go take a bath I'll stay here." I point to my bathroom and he glanced up at me and nodded softly.

"Thank you.." He gently took the clothes and walked into the bathroom shutting the door. I sighed and felt my pockets for my phone. I looked around and saw it on the bed. I hopped over on my good leg and leaned over the bed grabbing it.

I texted his father to come to my room and sat down on the bed.

After a few minutes the door opened and I looked up at him. "Just because you got shot doesn't mean you can't just come down the hall." "I promised Taehyung I wouldn't leave the room." He frowned and then heard the water turn on in my bathroom. "Why is he in here?" "Give me your gun." I held my hand out and he raised a brow. "Jungkook if you violated my son I swear-." "I didn't touch him." I motioned for him to give me his gun and he scoffed walking over and handed it to me. I took the magazine out and cocked it back making the bullet fall from the chamber.

He raised a brow and I patted the bed for him to sit.

"Something happened to Taehyung."
