Last night at our dance, it was a normal dance. We were dancing, taking photos, and having a good time when suspicion of a gun being in the building became aware to the students.
Around 9pm February 11th, 2023, the students (including me) had to evacuate Rustburg High school in fear of our lives being taken.

And having a good time when we noticed her sister was pacing and looking stressed. My date went over to see what was happening when a friend ran over to her and said someone had a gun. She looked at me and was in a panic so I went over and she said what was happening. I barely had time to grab my jacket when I saw the gun and heard someone well "GUN" and "DUCK"
I saw crowds of people running and I looked her and said "*her name* we have to fucking go" I grabbed her arm and we ran.
We were shoved and pushed and almost separated. But I managed to stay with her. I slammed the front door open, a girl was just standing there not moving, so I accidentally slammed her to the ground.
But that didn't matter, all that mattered was getting her and I out.

We are near the edge and I'm carrying the black jacket.
Mind you all of us who were dresses and heels we were freezing. Me and her ran up the hill to where the cameraman was (idk why he recorded but it is vital proof for something important)
We ran and ran frantically looking for her sister to see if she and others were alive. I ran until I couldn't breathe and was numb to the world. I've heard of school shooting and never imagined it'd happen to us.
My lungs inhaled sharp cold air, my feet are bruised and cuts, I can't get warm. There's nothing but pain, but the anxiety attacks and constant alertness hurt worse.
Parents broke thousands of laws to get to us, horns were blared, parents flew to the school. It was crazy we managed to cross the road without getting hurt.
It was chaotic.
I stayed with my date/bsf the entire time, I can't stand the thought of losing her. She means the world to me. I had no idea if my friends were alive or if there was fatalities. All ik is that when we managed to get to a safe place I broke down completely. ---

Now early this morning a gun was found alone at the bank not even 2 minutes away from my school. It was easy enough for the gunman to run away from the scene and deposit the gun before getting caught
Yet my school claims they searched everyone and found no weapon. BULL FUCKING SHIT. As the video shows the school evacuated so they did not in fact search everyone.
Rustburg High school loves to cover things like this up, it is not the first time. The deputy at the dance was too busy glaring at me and my date to not be watching the dance, so he was in fact not watching the dance.
They need to shapes up because covering it up is gonna get someone seriously injured or worse killed
