The black haired girl sighed in frustration. "Ei, what are you doing here." She questioned, not wanting the young Japanese boy to be here, at least not now.
He panted. He did run as fast as he could. He even skipped some steps whilst running up the stairs. He was in a hurry after all. In a hurry to stop her. He couldn't let her go through with this. Not after the recent events. "Myra, I can't let you do this!" He shouted, finally catching some of his breath. He looked so desperate.
It made her sad. She never wanted to see that look of desperation on his face again, but what could she do. She was an insignificant useless 14 year old girl with nothing but what that old man gave her to her name.
She had no power, no will, and nothing left.
"Ei... I'm sorry... I wasn't lying when I said I wanted to live in a huge house with you, Ash, and the others." She said as she turned away, her red eyes looking at the sunset as she remembered her conversation with the blonde about a month ago.
Funny isn't it. How a happy memory can leave such a bitter feeling. How it can turn into a sad memory.
"Myra... We can still-"
"But HE wouldn't be there! Ash wouldn't be there..."
Silence engulfed them both. She looked down from the ledge, watching the busy and rowdy streets of New York flow like normal.
Her vision blurred as her hair swayed with the wind to that was slowly picking up.
"I can't take it anymore. How much more do I have to lose? I might as well end this suffering." She stated as she looked at him with a look of despair, crying like a child. She was a child. Why couldn't she see that.
Eiji looked at her. "Please Myra. I can't lose you two..." his desperation grew.
"I'm sorry."
"No! Don't say that!"
"Sayonara, Ei."
"No!!!"
Her last memory was him rushing to her as she stepped off that ledge. This was the final leap she would ever take.
Or was it?
