"Yes, Kallen?" A young man asked as he held a young woman with white hair and blue eyes close to him inside a cave, their only source of light is the flames of the campfire.
"You didn't have o come with me,"
"You're my friend, besides, I wanted to."

"Rex?"
"Oh, Lumine? What time is it?"
"It's just before breakfast," Lumine said with a smile as she pulled off the blanket over the young man and sat beside him.
"I see..."
"Guizhong..."
"Rex? Are you okay? You're crying," Lumine asked as she looked at her friend and gently caressed his face.
"I... " Unable to form any words and feeling something guide him, the young man pulled Lumine into a hug and held the smaller form of the girl in his arms, unaware that his eyes now had an amber tint.
The world seemingly shifted as the room was replaced with a beautiful sight of a young man wearing a hooded white robe without sleeves holding onto a woman with billowing sleeves before it disappeared.
"Rex, we have to go down and eat..." Lumine said while tightening and enjoying the hug she received from the young man. "Okay, we can hug like this for a while..." She whispered as she snuggled closer to him.
Outside Rex's room, Reinhardt Crozzo, Rex's oldest brother/Cousin, smiled as he turned around. "Young love," He said with a smile as he walked downstairs and smiled at a young man with blonde hair. "Rex and Lumine will be coming down in a while,"
"Thanks for letting us stay here, Captain Rein."
"No need to worry, Aether. Besides, Rex and Lumine are close friends." Reinhardt said with a smile while paying a little girl's head. This is Yae Rin, the little sister of his childhood friend's girlfriend and his apprentice.
Reinhard smiled as he looked at them all before taking a sip from his cup of coffee. It was a nice day, well better finish his work early, the paperwork won't finish itself
"Morning," Rex called out as he looked at them with a yawn, his hair was a bit longer than it was, reaching his shoulders and Lumine followed him, wearing one of Rex's jackets over her St. Freya academy uniform in contrast to Rex dressed in casual clothes.
"I better not be an uncle anytime soon, Sis," Aether said with a teasing smiled aimed at his twin while Lumine... she took her slipper and threw it straight to her brother's face.
"Where's Reve?"
"Good morning, master Rex," Rita Rossweisse, an immortal blade and Reve's secretary/attendant greeted with a smile. "Master Reve had to leave early to finalize his reassignment to a less active role."
"Let me guess, you switched the documents?" Rita's answer was a smile as she prepared the breakfast table. "Rein... I... I want to be a Crozzo knight..."
Hearing his, Reinhardt and everyone froze as they looked at the youngest Crozzo.
"Rex... you..."
"I have to stop moping... I want to fight again," Rex said, looking at his brother before looking at his arms, while they looked normal, they were actually prosthetics and a result of an accident.
"Rex," Lumine gripped his shoulder and gave it a squeeze. "Are you sure?"
"I am,"
"Well, I can pull some strings and maybe ask Elysia to train you," Reinhardt said with a smile, missing the scowl Rin formed on her face as she heard Elysia's name. "Even Mobius!" Hearing the name, Rin froze and shivered as she remembered what she saw. She still had nightmares about that scary snake lady.
"Thank you, Rein." Rex said with a smile causing reinhardt to hold his chest.
"Quick, get the camera! Rex just smiled!" Reinhardt announced as he looked around only for Rex to sit down with Lumine in the seat in front of him, beside her twin. Unknown to him, Rex picked up a pair of chopsticks and begun to use it to eat flawlessly and gracefully. Under the sleeves of his clothes, amber lines started to form from his shoulders to his elbows, the place where his arms were amputated when he was young.
