chapter 3 : butterfly, tears and stars

Beomgyu finished his shift and walked to his cabin. When he entered the room he was very surprised, because it was cleaner. He knew it was Taehyun so he gave him a sweet smile. He walked toward his bed and put a blanket over him.

"I'm awake." said Taehyun as he removed the blanket.
"Okay. Good morning."
"Thanks for letting me have a peaceful night."
"You're welcome."
Taehyun got up and stretched his body.
"I just noticed your clothes are ripped. Take some of mine if you want to. Boots as well."
Taehyun turned behind and saw a big wardrobe. He opened it and started checking it piece by piece.
"Where did you get so many clothes?"
"Well I definitely didn't buy it."
"Why am I even surprised. *sigh* Can I take this?"
"Take whatever you want."
Taehyun changed into new clothes and nodded to Beomgyu to thank him.
"Yeah, no problem." aswered Beomgyu.
"You're going to sleep now huh?" asked Taehyun curiously.

"I'm not tired actually, I just-"
"Captain! Shore!" shouted Yeonjun.
"What? Are we there yet?" asked Taehyun.
"No... we wanted to visit one last place and get supplies before we get there."
"You're not going to do it. Just don't. Please."
Beomgyu was staring into Taehyun's eyes sadly.
"Please! They're innocent people, the most precious things ordinary people like me have is peace. Do you really want to take that away from them? Do you want to destroy their homes and make them suffer?"
"Captain!" shouted Yeonjun again.
Beomgyu closed his eyes and opened the door.
"We're not going there. Go around it."
"What? Are you sure?"
"Yes! Just listen to me."
"Thank you." said Taehyun gratefully.

Beomgyu looked at him and left the cabin. He walked to Yeonjun and looked at the island.
"Why did you decide to not do it all of a sudden?" asked Yeonjun.
"Because of Taehyun. I hurt him enough. He didn't wish us to attack them."
"Oh. Right."
"We have enough supplies. It will last for a few months."
"It looks like Taehyun made a friend."
Beomgyu turned around and saw Taehyun talking with Kai.
"They're the same age, I'm glad he has someone to talk to and feel comfortable around."
"And how is he? I didn't really have a chance to talk to him."
"He is so sweet. I feel like a monster for ruining his life."
Beomgyu lowered his head as he felt guilty.
"Keep your head up, Captain. Your hat will fall down."
Beomgyu looked at his friend and smiled.
"Thank you for being so loyal to me."
"Thank you for being my captain."

"Did you sleep okay?" asked Kai.
"It wasn't bad."
"I'm surprised he let you sleep in his cabin and his bed. He barely allows us to go there and we know him longer. It seems like you catched his eye."
"What do you mean?" asked Taehyun confusely.
"He likes you."
"That's cool at least he won't force me to walk the plank."
Kai chuckled.
"He'd never do that to any of us. Just if someone would badly hurt him or betray him."
"Did that happen before?"
"No, thank god. He seems cruel, he is strict, but he's a great leader. Best captain one could ask for."
"I think it'll take some time for me to start liking him."
"Taehyun, I just want you to know that he didn't make the order... there is no need to hate him."
"What? He didn't?"
"We don't kidnap people. We did this because you just didn't want to stop fighting back and we didn't have time to lose. That's why we brought you here. I'm sorry."
"It doesn't matter now."
"Also have you-"
Kai didn't finish his sentense because he noticed Taehyun looked worried.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Do you see that?"
Kai turned behind.
"What? Oh... OH? How the hell did it get here?"
Kai turned back, but Taehyun wasn't there.
"Taehyun?"
He looked around and Taehyun was running away.
Beomgyu was watching that from a far and looked at Kai confusely, but Kai just he shrugged his shoulders because he didn't know what happened either.
