Dana Pov
I woke up on my side of the bed with the sun shining my face. I sat up and streched with a confused look on my face. My confusion was definitely solved when a sweaty Pilar walked through the hotel room door.
"Goodmorning sleepy head" She said with a smile
"Goodmorning sweaty" I said making her laugh
"Get up you have a meeting in another hour" She said grabbing a pair of clothes out of her bag and walking into the bathroom
I walked towards my suitcase as the shower water started running, indicating the beginning of Pilar's shower. When I picked out my grey sweat shorts, white and yellow graphic T, and my yellow and white new balances, I let a content smile slide on my face. I walked into the bathroom and used it, then I started brushing my teeth.
"So should I tell my mom" Pilar asked me shutting off the water
"Yeah" I replied thinking about the answer I just gave "she's been waiting for this moment for like 5 years now"
"True" she said reaching for the white towel hanging on the wall "I just don't know yet"
"Did Eben say what the meeting was for" I asked walking out of the bathroom with her hot on my tail
"Eben didn't tell me" she said grabbing hair products "The assistant did"
I signed as I began to get dressed. Pilar walked out a few moments later with just her under garments on. I glanced at her for a moment to long and we made eye contact. She sprinted back into the bathroom and came out dressed. She put a grey and white dress, with a Jean jacket, and some shiny silver and white sandals.
"Ready" I asked
"Ready" she replied
We walked towards the door and my phone began to ring. I answered it while walking out of the room.
PHONE CONVERSATION
"Hello" I spoke into the receiver
"Hi honey" my mom said with a slightly irritated tone
"Hey mom, what's up" I said kind of afraid of her next words
"Hi mommy" Pilar said breaking the ice
"Hi Pilar And nothings up Dana" she started " Neither of you called me for two days"
"So mom I have some news" I said skipping over her comment
"Is my mom with you" Pilar asked with curiosity
"Yeah I'll put you guys on speaker" she said
"Hello"
"Hey mom" Pilar said with a giggle
"Hey Pilar" she mimicked Pilar's tone
"So what's going on guys" My mom asked more irritated then she already was
"Well Pilar and I wanted to tell you that were dating" I said as both of our mothers began to scream
"Wait you're not lying are you" My mom asked catching her breath
"No mom were not lyin" Pilar said with a chuckle
"Ill call you guys later I have a meeting" I said as we said our goodbyes
END OF CONVERSATION
"They were excited to the fullest" Pilar said clasping her hands together
"I know" I chuckled
We walked into the conference room and noticed how empty it was . It was just me, Pilar, and the assistant. Talk about awkward!
"Where is everybody" Pilar asked taking a seat in one of the chairs
"No it's just us today" She replied sitting at the edge of the table
"Okay well Dana i'm going to go get some breakfast do you -" Pilar stood up
"No you stay" The assistant cut her off
"Okay" she said slowly sitting back down
We were curious to know what this was all about. None of the other band members will be joining us and it's a bit strange.
"So you guys are dating now" She rolled her eyes " So I heard and kind of caught a glimpse of"
"Oh lord" Pilar said leaning back in the chair
"Yes why" I replied
"Because your the first in the group to develop a relationship" She began "we have to make sure this doesn't get out to the press"
"Is that it" I asked confused "we're not even famous yet"
"No that's not it" She insisted standing up " this is an extremely important decision for you right now"
"I don't get it " I said not being able to get the jest of what she's saying
"I think you guys should be careful with your newly founded relationship" she gaged " because Dana one wrong move and your career is over all because of this dusty bitch you call a girlfriend"
"First of all, I don't know who you think you're calling a dusty bitch because the last time I checked boo I'm not somebody's grandma " Pilar said with a heightened attitude "Secondly, if you want Dana just say so but know you can't have him"
The assistant stood shocked at Pilar's Allegations. Shit I was too! Before I knew it, Pilar and I were up and out of the door. We went to the breakfast buffet and filled our plates with food. When we sat down I stared at Pilar for a while to take in her look. She added some mascara on her long eyelashes today.
"What" she asked placing a piece of fruit into her mouth
"Nothing" I broke my daze
"Then why we're you staring at me"
"You're pretty good looking" I laughed "I don't really know why I didn't fully see it before"
She looked everywhere but at me but quickly looked back with discomfort. I looked around to catch a few eyes burning holes into her beautiful brown skin.
"Okay then" I said going back to my food "I guess I'm not the only one who thinks that"
We sat there for a while until the food was gone and our bellies were full. We talked about what we wanted to accomplish and how we wanted to accomplish them. I mean we already knew but it was nothing like a refresher to begin my career.
