So yeah, despite my original denial, here I am. Such is life.
To be honest, this story probably isn't going to hit 30 thousand. I have a plan for it, but I dunno...I still feel like I'm missing something.
Also, I've come to realise that I am a perfectionist, which is why I never finish my old works. But fear not, my new year resolution is to deal with my anxieties - including my perfectionism - and that starts with this story. I'm not going to edit it beyond the basics; instead I'm just going to publish it as it comes to me.
Will I be able to overcome it? Only one way to find out, and to paraphrase T.D Jakes, it doesn't matter if it takes all night as long as I cross the finish line.
I will finish!
Referencing my earlier point, if at any point in the story you figure out what it is I'm missing, please let me know. Any chance to improve myself, I'm all for it.
I should also probably warn you that Calu, the main character, is something of a jerk. Please bear with him (he'll soon get on the right path, I promise).
And lastly, forgive the atrocity that is my cover. It was the best I could come up with for free, and right now the only thing I can afford is free. If you happen to make a better cover, I'd genuinely appreciate it!
