Chapter5

The next morning Layton's Fever had returned

He laid in bed everything feeling like he was on fire his eyes burning as tears pulling through his defenses

He laid there unmoving in fear of more pain to happen

His Violet eyes glazed over in the haze of pain

There was a knock on the door

Layton couldn't move to open the door

The door the opened and in walked Masaomi and Ukyo

Ukyo held some more soup and Masaomi held some medicine and some other supplies for Layton's fever which had gone up while he slept

Masaomi walked over to the in pain Layton and put his hand on his head only to retort back

"It's gotten worse" Masaomi said quietly mostly to himself but also to Ukyo

Ukyo frowned and set the soup down next to the still full bowl from yesterday

"Layton you didn't eat your food yesterday you need to eat properly to get well" Ukyo said as he looked at the child in pain

Layton's hazy Violet eyes were blurry as tears threatened to fall
His raven hair all messy from tossing and turning in his sleep
His face flushed from the heat and illness
All in all Layton looked terrible

Masaomi was worried that he couldn't even take care of him

"I'll take the day off to take care of him" Masaomi eventually said as Ukyo nodded in agreement

Masaomi knew it was going to be hard to help him through the pain but he'd do whatever he could

Layton was in bad condition but not critical
Eventually the only ones in the house were Layton, and Masaomi the others went to school and to work

Masaomi watched Layton who went in and out of Consciousness

Eventually Masaomi decided to at least make some food for himself and Layton

Layton was passed out by the time he got back
Masaomi gently tapped the boy who's eyes slowly opened and looked over at Masaomi who smiled gently

"I got some food for you I'll help you eat if you need" he said quietly not sure if Layton's ear were sensitive or not

Masaomi set the food down next to the other untouched foods and helped Layton sit up
It was hard due to the pain but they got there eventually

Layton was now leaning against multiple pillows to help him not fall over Masaomi then started to feed the child some food that might help him feel better

Layton took small bites and hoped that he wouldn't hurt his stomach

Eventually after maybe an hour he managed to eat almost all of it before turning his head away stating "No More"

Masaomi respected that and set the almost empty bull down and then helped the boy lay down

Masaomi then took the two full bowls and the one empty bowl downstairs and threw away the stale food and put the bowls in the sink then he took a dry towel and a bowl of water to the room

He sat the bowl of water on the table and took the towel soaked it then rinsed the excess water and then placed it on the boys head after moving some of this hair off his forehead

Layton flinched at first but slowly he seemed to relax and melted into the towel as it seemed to cool the raging fires and war in his mind

Masaomi smiled when he noticed Layton start to relax and fall into the peaceful abyss called sleep

Masaomi smiled and watched over the boy as he made sure to message Ukyo about him and made sure to tell him he ate something and now he was resting as he should be

Ukyo became relaxed when he got the message that Layton was resting after he had ate something

Then something in Ukyo's mind clicked
It reminded him of the call he had with Rintarou

Be carful with Layton He's a sensitive boy he's never even been to school which i refuse to let him until this disease is cured so if you could take him to work with you or with one of the other boys from time to time
He gets sick often so make sure to take care of him when he is he's very sedative when it comes to certain senses such as the texture of something's such as Velvet so be carful if what something may feel like when it comes to food or fabrics also he hates when foods touch other foods so be wary of that Ukyo
Also i Hope you wrote that all down cause there's more where that comes from
Just be carful with him he's sensitive and fragile like a small Glass Bunny

Ukyo still remembered that and couldn't help but keep it in his heart
Everything Rintarou had said was right Layton was sensitive to the touch of textures and to sound as well funny enough
And he got sick easily and hated certain foods touching
He was odd sure but the others and himself couldn't help but love the boy already

Masaomi remembered what Ukyo had written down on the day Rintarou had called and recalled all that and made sure Layton was comfortable
And it payed off in a few days Layton was back to normal no longer aching or in pain he was back to normal but he still wasn't aloud to go to school but Layton was used to that already

And it was fine he was happy going with his new brothers to work or staying home
It was all to normal for him...
There was no change in the end but that's fine...
It's all A Okay...
