Your POV

It's been about a few months since the alliance with Talokan and Shuri officially became queen a few days ago. We decided to hold a party in one of her beach houses to celebrate. Quite a few scientists and Dora Mijae, including Ayo and Aneka, were invited to come along as well as Riri and Nakia. Surprisingly she invited Namor, but she did not just invite her boyfriend (she hates it when I call him that, but she never denies it) she also invited some of the avengers. Namor agreed to come, wanting to see what the surface dwellers heroes were made of.

He would not be alone however, his two generals agreeing to come along. Although I'm sure Attuma and Namora agreed so they could spend time with Okoye and me. I mean Namora and I are dating after all, so it makes sense.

"Does she know that Carol will be here?" Okoye asks joining me on the back porch.

"Yes." I sigh not really thrilled to be seeing my ex again.

Carol and I didn't really end on good terms, but I know that she could probably use this small break.

"Will you be alright?"

"I will as long as she doesn't try anything."

"You and I both know that Namora won't allow her to get close enough to try anything."

I laugh knowing that she was right. We decide to head back inside, helping Shuri with some last-minute things before everyone started to show up. Peter arrived first bringing MJ along. I greet them with a smile, bringing the two in for a hug. Shortly after Bucky and Sam arrive, congratulating the young queen. More guests arrive and I make my way out back as I spot Carol entering the door. You see Carol and I use to date until she decided to break up and believe me it was not a good break up. I sigh shoving the door open while I kept my feelings at bay. My mood is lifted though when I spot the Talokan trio emerging from the water.

"Namora!" I smile running into her arms.

"No greetings for us?" Attuma teases causing K'uk'ulkan to smile.

"Your greetings are inside." I respond, "Although you might want to go save them. Shuri's been swarmed with congratulations and questions."

K'uk'ulkan nods both him and Attuma making their way inside. I turn my attention back to Namora, placing a quick kiss to her lips as she sets me down.

"Shall we join them?"

My girlfriend nods, my hand intertwining with hers as I guide her into the house. Attuma and K'uk'ulkan had already gathered a crowd around them, Okoye and Shuri watching from afar with a smirk. I decide to save my love from that fate, sneaking her around the crowd to the other side of the room.

"Are you not going to save your beloveds?" I ask the Wakandan pair, their smirks only growing.

"They'll have to get use to greeting and talking with other surface dwellers." Okoye states taking a sip of her drink.

"While I agree I don't think being bombarded is a positive experience for them. Especially since it seems that Peter is challenging Attuma to a lift off..." I point out the younger boy starting to lift a table while Attuma watched in amusement.

Okoye and Shuri groan, quickly making their way over to the two. Namora watches in amusement as she takes a seat, pulling me down onto her lap. I giggle pressing a kiss to her cheek before getting comfortable on my new seat. A few people came over and introduced themselves, including Bucky and Sam, only for Namora to nod or not respond at all. Instead, she chose to observe them the look in her eyes telling me that she was assessing if they were a threat or not.
