Zhafiro's POV
"Camilla!" I shouted her name.
"Ano nanaman?" she asked irritatingly.
"Don't you miss me?" I pouted when her eyes are irritated at me, again.
"Araw araw na tayong magkasama, nagsasawa na ako sa pagmumukha mo." she said that made me chuckled.
"Okay, let's eat lunch together?" I asked her, she simply nodded.
"See you later!" I waved at her before she went inside their classroom. She didn't waved back but at least she smiled at me.
"Are you two dating?" Achilles asked, my blockmate.
"No, I already told you that we are just bestfriends." I tilted my head. Achilles gave me that look.
Everyone in the campus thought that Camilla and I are dating. We're just too close to each other since the both of us grew up in a same subdivision.
"Sabi ni prof mahuhuli lang siya ng kaunti." Achilles said.
"Really? How did you know?" I asked him. He shrugged and pointed out the group of girls scrolling through their phones.
I took my phone and my headphones. I started playing music and playing games to ease my boredom.
After a few more minutes our professor comes in and started giving us a long quiz.
We checked it after twenty minutes and many of us failed. Our professor got mad since many of us failed his quiz, he said that he reminded us yesterday to review. But maybe he's that too old to remember that he didn't say anything.
He didn't informed us.
He started discussing about our new lessons. Three hours have passed and I need to wait for Camilla to the cafeteria for us to eat lunch together. I'm used to eat with her every lunchtime.
"Are you still gonna eat with Camilla?" Achilles asked me.
"Of course," I answered him. I enjoyed eating with her even though she's doing nothing but to be annoyed with me.
"Kaya kayo pinag-chi-chismisan dito sa buong campus eh." Achilles said while shaking his head.
"Well I don't care about their rumors." I said and I went to the cafeteria.
I looked for a table and waited for her.
When I saw her at the entrance I waved my hands and she saw me.
"Look what I brought," she said and layed down the two lunch box.
I opened the green lunch box and smelled the food. I smiled when the aroma of the bay leaves coated my nose.
"Ahhh, who cooked this?" I asked her while I'm started eating.
"Ako, sino pa ba?" she said proudly. I really love her foods. Once a week she's cooking food for me. Since everyday Camilla's waking up early to cook for herself.
"Mhm!" I'm savoring every meat and the soup of her adobo.
This is so addicting.
"Diba? Walang makakatalo sa luto ko 'no?" she laughs at me while looking at my face. I shaked my head and continued eating.
We talked about our subjects for today and everything that happens inside our classroom.
"Tapos alam mo ba, nagalit rin 'yung professor namin dahil natutulog lang 'yung mga ibang kaklase ko habang nagtuturo siya. Sino ba naman hindi matutulog? Nakakaantok kaya." she said while laughing. I kept on nodding while Camilla can't stop talking.
It's kind of enjoying everytime she's telling me a story about how her day went.
After a several minutes we stood up to clean our mess.
"Thank you," I thanked her and gave her the lunch box.
"You're always welcome, tomorrow buy your own food na ah!" Camilla said and took her lunch bag. I simply nodded
"The coffee is on me," I smiled at her.
"Later nalang, oras na rin kasi eh." she said and waved at me before running upwards.
I looked at my watch and it's already 12:58 o'clock already.
"Shit," I cussed and started running to my classroom.
"You're five minutes late Mr. Alorfo." our next professor said while looking at her watch.
"I'm sorry ma'am," I bowed down a little bit.
She nodded and let me go in.
We just did a few plates for four hours.
This school's exhausting.
"Zhaf!" Achilles called me while I'm fixing my stuffs.
"Do you want to join our band?" he asked. I shaked my head as 'no'.
"Pero tumutugtog ka ng drums 'di ba?" he asked.
"Yes I am but I'm not interested to your band or anyone's band." I said.
"Come on Zhafiro! We need one." Achilles begged.
"No, now I need a coffee friendly date to catch up." I teased him and took my bag.
I waited Camilla at the quadrangle and texted her that I'll be waiting right here.
After a few more minutes I saw her biding goodbye to her friends.
"Let's go?" I asked her. She smiled and nodded.
We went to our favorite coffee shop near the university. I ordered for the both of us since I already know what she wants everytime we're going to drink here.
I ordered her favorite drink, matcha. I bought a coffee frappe for myself. I also bought a two slice of red velvet cake.
"Thanks," she smiled sweetly when she got hers. Camilla took her phone out and took a picture of her food. After that she angles her phone sidely for me to get into the frame.
We both smiled at the camera and started eating after.
"Achilles asked me to join their band—" I havent't finished my sentence but she smiled and pushing my shoulders back and front.
"Oh my god! You should accept it!" she excitedly said.
"But wouldn't it be a burden to my studies?" I asked for her opinion.
"Depende nalang kung paano mo ma-mamanage 'yung time mo." she said and took a bite of her cake.
"What would happen if I joined them?" I asked her again.
"Mas lalo kang gagaling sa pagtugtog mo ng drums! Magiging magandang experience mo rin 'yon. Kaya sumali ka na, enjoy your college life kahit puro stress na." Camilla said.
"I'll think of it," I shrugged and finished mine.
After we ate we decided to go home by riding an uber. The uber dropped Camilla in front of their house. I paid the uber and went inside.
I saw my older brother working something in the sofa.
"Where's Mom and Dad?" I asked him.
"Work," he said without looking at me and kept on typing.
He's married to his job.
