Corruption from Carmyne's point of view. How he was overtaken by Cyder, leaving Myke to find his boyfriend already under the monster's control. His final moments, his feelings, everything of how someone as powerful as Carmyne was overpowered by the beast. Enjoy some angst!
Carmyne typed away on the screen of his phone, a fond smile on his face. A laugh bubbled from his throat at his boyfriend's response. The two had been texting each other on and off for a few hours, and they both were enjoying themselves.
It was nice to enjoy some downtime with his partner, even if they weren't in the same room. Ever since the two had met—and in Myke's case even before—the world had thrown event after event at them to challenge them and test their love for one another.
Despite it all, the duo pulled through. Nothing was going to come between them. He loved him with all his heart, and nothing was going to change that, or come between them. He would give his life for him in a heartbeat.
A ding from his phone drew his attention back from his musing. He looked down at it to see another message from his beloved. He chuckled softly, fingers tapping away a response.
C: Hey, I was thinking about something.
M: Yeah? What's that?
C: You know how Christmas is coming up?
M: Uh-huh?
C: Do you want to go to the mall together then?
M: As in... a date?
C: Yes, Myke, what else?
M: Okay, sassy bitch. But yes, I'd love to.
C: Corny dork.
M: Says the one asking me out.
C: Touché. How's about at seven on Christmas Eve?
M: It's going to be packed. Last minute shoppers, and all that.
C: We'll get a free show then.
M: You would say that.
C: So? Yes or no?
M: Alright, alright, sounds good to me.
C: Great. I have things in mind for us.
M: Oh boy....
He snickered at the response. The two continued to text one another after that, making plans for their date that was vastly approaching.

Carmyne finished putting on his warm clothes for the chilly air outside. He wore blue gloves that ended in fluffy white at the end around his wrists. A pair of matching boots to ago along with it. He wore long white stockings. A blue jacket was pulled up over him, the collar also fluffed up and the color of snow. Two golden bell earrings were clipped on his ears, replacing the normal golden loop one that was normally there. A top his head was a pair of fake reindeer antlers.
Once he had gotten warm and cozy in his winter getup, he headed off to the mall. His parents were already going, having left an hour prior to his own. He hoped that his family wasn't going to bother him this year. They had a yearly tradition where they stirred up trouble at the mall. Since he and his boyfriend were going there for their date, he prayed that they wouldn't ruin it for them.
