The streets of L'manberg were dark and quiet this early in the morning. The lights in different buildings were just turning on and shops and cafés were just opening. Water was still dripping from the roofs of different buildings from the night storm and the streets were empty with only the moon watching over them.
One of the shops that were opening was Bees Flower Shop. The outside of the building that the shop was in matched the rest of the building with its gray paint with the only difference being that the shop had flowers outside. Music was softly flowing from the inside of the flower shop as the big windows were opened by a certain hybrid and candles were lit and carefully placed by the windows giving the whole shop a welcoming feeling.
The moon was soon replaced by the sun and the streets started to fill with people trying to get to their job in time, but the small flower shop remained the same except for a small sign by the door that was switched to "open :)" instead of "closed :(".
An eighteen-year-old was sitting behind the counter with a book while sipping on his chai latte that he got from the café just across the street and he for once felt calm. Just as the boy had finished his latte the bell above the door made a little noise and he smiled at the new customer that just came in. In the end the customer wanted a sage candle and a small pot of African Violets, and he smiled at them as they left.
Soon the shop got more and more customers that started to enter and leave the shop, some with different teas and teacups, others with candles and flowers and some left empty handed, but it didn't matter, the boy was just as happy as all of them came and left.
When the sun stood proudly in the sky the boy decided to walk over to the café across the street to get some lunch, so he once again switched the sign but this time from "open :)" to "on lunch break, will be back soon!". As he walked across the street, he could still hear "She" by Dodie softly playing from the inside of his shop, but it soon faded when he walked inside the café and was greeted by a certain demon hybrid that talked about their new muffin that he just needed to try, and the boy was quick to start a conversation about it with his friend.
When he had eaten his lunch, he thanked the demon hybrid for recommending the new muffin as he thought that it was delicious and told the older to come over to try and see if the café wanted his new apple honey tea.
Customers started to come into the shop when he once again had flipped the sign and it was soon time to close as the sun no longer stood in the sky and let it be day in another place in the world instead.
The boy took his time cleaning up and let himself walk around the shop and water the flowers at a slow pace. A quiet knock on his door startled him, but when he looked over he felt a wave of relief as he saw a happy demon hybrid standing by the door with an apologetic look as he welcomed himself into the shop to try the new tea.
Soon an agreement came over the two as the demon decided that he wanted the tea in his café and they continued to talk whiles the younger cleaned and when he was done the demon walked him home after the boy had argued for a bit about being old enough to walk home alone, but the demon knew that the boy wanted company.
At the end of the day the boy felt happy, but he knew that something was missing, he just didn't know what.
