After that day, Kokonoi would constantly check up on Y/n. She knew he wasn't a God to prevent some things from happening and even if he told her multiple times that he would come after her no matter what, she knew that even, Kokonoi with his money, couldn't do much.
She was laying in her bed, thinking about what could possibly happen. She never expected her dad was alive. She didn't told her mom about it, she didn't want to deal with the question she was going to put her through, even if that wasn't the best idea, she had to cover Kokonoi existence from everyone.
She snapped out from her thoughts when Y/n heard her phone ringing and searched for it with her hand, since she already knew who the caller was. Kokonoi. Nobody beside him actually called her nowadays, not even Yua. Y/n started to want to block any contact with Yua, as she didn't showed any interest in Y/n anymore, she wasn't her friend anymore. Though, without Yua she gained Kokonoi and she was actually glad that she was able to be his friend and got to see this soft side of him.

"Y/n. Hi. How are you?" Kokonoi asked after she answered the phone.
"Good, i guess." she said unsure of her feelings.
"Are you doing something late in the afternoon?" he asked her.
"Yes, laying in bed and probably watching a tv series. Why?" she could hear him chuckle on the other side.
"I thought it would be great for you to hang out with me, today. Dress nicely, maybe do some makeup if you want to, if you don't want, that's okay too. You will look good either ways." he said making her smile at his compliment.
"Where are we even going?" she said.
"It's a surprise, Y/n." he explained. "I'll pick you up around 5 pm? How does that sound?" he asked her, making sure she is comfortable with everything.
"Yeah, sure, see you." she said ending the call and getting out of her bed to go to her mom to let her know that she is going out.

In fact, today was her mom had the night shift which starts around 7 pm, so Y/n won't be worried about getting home later than usual. She entered her mom room, she was going through some books.

"What you doing, mom?" she asked sitting down beside her on her mom's bed.
"I had this case yesterday and I'm afraid I've put the wrong treatment, so I'm checking it out." she simply responded.
"I see. I've wanted to let you know that I'm going out tonight." she told her mom.
"Where, exactly?" her mom asked suspicious. "You started to leave late at night with no further explanation. Where are you actually going and with who?" her mom asked.
"With a friend. I promise he is a really good guy. A gentleman, really!" Y/n said trying to make her mom to not ask other questions.
"I see. So it's a he. I would like to meet this boyfriend of yours." she said making her daughter turn a bright shade of red.
"Mom! He isn't my boyfriend." she quickly made things clear.
"According to your reaction, you wish he was. I want to meet this boyfriend." she continued.
"I can talk to him. I promise you nothing." Y/n said.
"I just want to see him and ask him some harmless questions." her mother said with an innocent smile.
"I will talk to him about it." she said getting up from the bed and going back inside her room, looking for her phone and calling Kokonoi, that answered really fast.
"Wait 2 seconds." he said before she could hear a gunshot. "What's wrong, Y/n?" he asked after a few seconds.
"First, never answer me when you are doing that. Second, my mom wants to meet you. I understand if you don't want to meet her." she explained to him.
"No, no. It's okay. We can meet. I have no problem with it." he simply said.
"You sure? I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable." she said making sure about what he wants.
"I'm more than comfortable. I'm sure our meeting won't last long." he said. "I have to mention now. Wear expensive clothes, I'm sure you have some." he continued. "Also, what does you mom likes?" he asked after some time.
"Kokonoi no."
"We both know i can find that in seconds so give my money some rest and tell me." he said getting somehow annoyed.
"She's into earrings nowadays." she said rolling her eyes.
"I see, thank you." he said ending the call.
