"You know best friend neglect is a thing--hey Shuri."Bilaal spoke as she sat next to me making me snicker as Shuri politely responded before getting back to her work.
"I did apologize, B. So' are you going to help me or not?"I asked as I looked at Bilaal next to me making her place her hand on her cheek as she turned to face me.
"I need more than an apology, Mrs Shuri."She teased as she rolled her eyes making me nudge her.
"Fine, fine. I will help you fight. Who's your new friend?"Bilaal whispered obviously feeling an unfamiliar presence in the lab and the unfamiliar foot steps.
"Riri Williams."I simply responded making Riri approach us and wave at Bilaal before outstreching her hand making Bilaal shake it.
"I am Bilaal, I am the blind girl in the squad."Bilaal joked making me giggle too as I saw that Riri looking at Bilaal in awe.
"How did you know that I was in here? How did you even know that I was going in for a handshake?" Riri asked making Bilaal laugh before shrugging her shoulder.
"All my other sense are good."Bilaal simply replied as she placed her head on my shoulder.
"Riri, Bilaal is my child hood best friend."I replied making Riri nod her head before going back to her work.
"Okay, your hover board is fixed."I chimed as I handed Bilaal a new set of Kimoyo beads with an extra bead that could activate her hover board.
"Thank you so much."she replied as I slid the kimoyo beads on her wrist.
Bilaal's kimoyo beads were written in braille just so she knows which kimoyo bead to use or to pop out when she needs them.
"You want me to walk you home?"I offered as I placed my hands on my lap.
"Yeah, we need to catch up. I have not seen you in years."She cheered making me smile before I walked over to Shuri.
"I'm walking, Bilaal home. I'll be back just now. I think I might stop by to see Queen Ramonda too."I stated making her slowly turn away from her hologram board and face me before pecking my lips making me smile.
"Be safe, please?"She asked looking down at me making me nod my head as I pecked her lips several times before I left with Bilaal.
"How is everything with Shuri? How is she holding up?"Bilaal asked as we walked along the busy city together making me look up at the sky before I sighs heavily.
"She's mad at herself."I admitted as I held Bilaal's hand making her intertwine our fingers.
"That's how I felt when both my parents died. Felt helpless especially because I was just a little girl and I was blind. I always remember that day, the smell of burning flames, that stupid man Klaue laughing and King T'Challa carrying me away from wherever we were."She explained as she chuckled abit making me squeeze her hand.
"I'm sorry, Bilaal."I replied as I looked down at her but she chuckled and waved me off.
"Don't pity me. You know I hate it when people pity me."She replied which made me chuckle before I nodded.
"You right. I meant to say, that blind little girl is a strong bad ass blind bandit."I replied making her nod her head.
"Exactly."She cheered making me giggle at her excitement but she then suddenly halted and crouched down to feel the ground.
"What's the matter?"I asked as I crouched down her level.
"I feel water. A whole lot of water coming our way."She muttered as she turned to face the wall making me sigh heavily.
"He's here. Get on your hover board. Come on."I yelled as making her obey and I grabbed her hand as I tried to run back into the city but I bumped into Nakia and Okoye.
"We're under attack!"I exclaimed as soon as I got to them then I felt a rush of water on my feet making Okoye and Nakia look at the water strangely.
"Everyone get to higher ground! You too Bilaal."I yelled as placed my hands on her cheeks.
"I want to help."She insisted making me shake my head.
"Bilaal. You aren't good around water. Go to high ground, I will come back to you. I swear."I replied before I kissed her forehead making her nod her head as she evacuated some people.
A splash of water then came from the walls catching me off guard as they covered me making me fly up above the water immediately.
"Get to higher ground!"I yelled as I flew down to grab a few people and place them on taller buildings to prevent them from drowning.
I looked up and spotted Namor making me frown at him as I telekinetically tossed rocks towards him but he effortlessly blocked them making me charge towards him.
"What do you think you're doing?"I yelled as I looked up at him in anger.
"Bringing out your true power."he replied making me look at him confusingly.
"Your friend? She's blind, yes?"he replied as he pointed towards Bilaal who was helping people into the ships that were sent out.
"No. Please."I muttered as I grabbed both his arms but he smirked.
"I don't want to kill you or your people don't do this."I continued as I telekinetically created a boulder out of a spear and pointed it towards him.
"Let's see who you can save. In one week’s time, I will return with my entire army and you will join us against the surface world or I will wash Wakanda from the face of the Earth. "he muttered before I grabbed the stone spear and fought him as much as I could but he stabbed my shoulder making me wince in pain as I dropped my spear and grabbed his weapon and pulled it out, he then tossed a water bomb towards Bilaal making me scream.
"Bilaal!"I yelled but as soon as she looked up the water bomb hit her I pushed myself away from him and dived into the water.
As soon as I got into the water I searched for Bilaal in a panic and swam deeper into the water. I finally spotted her unconscious in the water making me grab her and pull her out the water and fly towards the nearest building.
I placed Bilaal on the ground and rolled her kimoyo beads from her wrist before placing them on her chest creating an electric charge.
"Come on, Bilaal. Please."I sobbed out as I sent electric charges throughout her entire body.
"Bilaal, please."I cried as I continued to pump her chest whilst crying harder.
I then felt her chest move and she began to cough out water making me smile as soon as she opened her eyes.
"Oh, thank Bast."I cried as I pulled her into a hug making her weakily wrap her arms around my neck.
"Have I ever told you that I hate water?"she managed to joke making me laugh as I pulled away from her and placed my hands on her cheeks.
"I know."I replied whilst smiling down at her with a small smile.
"Sade, come quickly."Nakia telepathically said in a worried tone making pull Bilaal up and carried her onto my back as I flew to the throne room and when I got there I heard Shuri sobbing which made my heart sink.
I placed Bilaal down and held her hand as I rushed to the throne room seeing M'baku holding Shuri back and Nakia pumping Queen Ramonda on the chest with her Kimoyo beads.
"Oh no."I muttered as I heard Shuri crying hard as she watched her mother die.
"Shuri."I muttered making her look back at me and hug me tightly which made me embrace her tightly as I allowed her to cry into my arms.
"I am so sorry, Shuri."
