It's been about three weeks since the ax incident happened. I was still a little scared from what happened. But whoever threw that ax was trying to kill me. But who would try to kill me? "Mother and father don't know where I am.. So how would they know.. So it must be someone else.. But who? And why are they trying to kill me?" I thought to myself. I hear a knock at my door, and I jump a bit, "Hey, it's me, Ace. Can I come in?" Ace asks. "Mhm.." I say sitting up in bed when Ace walked in and shut the door behind him. "Well, I may or may not have figured it out." Ace says, turning to face me. I look at him as he walks to my bed and sits next to me. "It's been a while since you've been able to walk on your own.. It's amazing." I think to myself, forgetting that Ace could hear me. "Yeah, I know." Ace says, smiling a bit. "O-oh I forgot you can still hear me in my mind." I say. "Ehh.. It's fine. I can hear everyone's thoughts. It gets a little loud, sometimes. Oh, this one time I was sitting next to Emma and Ray, and I could hear Emma thinking to herself on how she could beat Norman in a game of tag. It's actually pretty funny when I budded in and said 'You can't beat Norman in a game of tag, he's just too good.' and watch her face turn a beat red." Ace says, laughing a bit. "Maybe if my skin wasn't sensitive to the sun I maybe, just maybe be able to get away" I say, looking down at the floor. "Well, that's the other thing I wanted to talk to you about.." Ace says, making me look at him. "I've found a way for you so you can join us outside. It may be the only other thing that'll help you actually be outside with us." Ace says teleporting a vile to him. "It's some of my blood.." Ace continues "You know how I'm able to go outside without burning in the sunlight?" Ace asks, handing it to me. "Well, I think if you consume just enough of it, you'll be able to walk in the sunlight as well." Ace says. "I-i don't want to hurt you though.." I say looking at the vile with Ace's blood in it. "Hence the reason for the vile. You won't need to bite me, you'll drink it from the vile, and besides, I can't feel any pain due to the powerful painkillers that I'm on right now. I haven't taken them yet, so you'll be good." Ace says. "Children! Come downstairs, quickly! We have visitors!" Mother yells from downstairs. "That's odd. We usually never have visitors......" Ace says, then he sniffs the air and gags. "They have some sort of... spice with them that smells like absolute-" Ace starts, but Norman cuts him off. "C'mon! We should go check it out!" Norman says in my doorway. "Fine, just let me change." Ace says getting up, not taking the vile out of my hands and leaving my room then coming back with a different shirt on and different pants on unlike the usual white outfit that the others wear. "Let's go, and stay by me. Keep your head down, don't draw any attention to yourself, they aren't here to just chat." Ace says in a cold- but not so cold- voice, I could almost hear the concern in his voice. "He heard their thoughts, I have a feeling that he did." I think to myself as I put the vile in my pocket and I head to the door and walk with Ace to where our siblings, the guests, and mother are. "Mother, who are they?" A kid with the number 2114 says. "They said that they heard what had happened just a few weeks ago with Ace." Mother says guestering to me. "If so, how in the hell would they know that I was the one who got attacked?" Ace asked in a really cold tone, it sounded like he was angry at the guests. "Well... words does get around pretty f-fast." The female visitor says. "Oh? And how do I suppose that you've heard about it? No one here has one of those things people carry around." Ace says looking up, I looked at his eyes, they were red. "Ace... please calm down, they have done nothing wrong." I thought and Ace looked at me and mouths 'I know what they've done. I'm not letting them do what they want to do next.'. I don't understand, what does he mean by that? I wonder. I look at the girl, and I freese. "M-my p-parents......" I think as I shiver. Ace goes in front of me. "Why don't you two just leave us alone and be on your way? I'm sure you have mouths to feed." Ace says as coldly as he was just earlier. "Now, now, Ace.. please be nice." Mother says. "Why should I when I smelt them before the attack happened?" Ace asks. "I understand now... He was protecting me before, and he's protecting me again. Wait.. did he say that he smelt them before the attack? How godly are his senses?" I think to myself. "Go up to my room. Lock my door, and hide. There is a place in my closet for someone to hide in, how do you think I'm always nowhere to be found?" Ace whispers to me, and I nod and I rush up the stairs. "Ace, what did you tell Sam to do?" I heard the girl ask from downstairs. I heard yelling back and forth, yet I stayed hidden in the closet. After a while, I heard the door close, mother yelling, and Ace replying. I was trying to not cry, that's when I remembered the vial in my pocket, I took it out of my pocket and I opened it. It smelled so good... I was tempted to taste it, but I couldn't pull myself to do it, so I put the lid back on it and I put it back into my pocket. I heard Ace's door open and shut. "Hey, you can come out now. Your parents are gone. For now." Ace says and I come out of his closet. "O-Okay..." I say. "So, how much of it did you hear?" Ace asks. "P-Pretty much all o-of it.." I say "Oh... sorry..." Ace says patting the bed then sitting down. "Sit next to me, please." Ace says and I sit next to him on his bed. "Look, I'm sorry for abruptly putting my blood in your hands... I know you've already had my blood on your face and... it probably reminded you of when I got an ax to the back..." Ace says, looking at the ground. "I-It's okay.. A-Ace." I say. "You sure?" Ace says, looking at me, and I nod. "Ok..." Ace says. "D-Do you want the vile b-back?" I ask. "Nah, you'll probably need it later." Ace says. I looked at Ace and I could see some scars on his chest through his shirt. "Wh-what are thoes s-scars from?" I ask. "Oh? These?" Ace asks, pointing at one of them and I nod. "Well, I was a girl, but I changed my body. I didn't like how I was. My mother didn't like it, but my father was supportive." Ace says. "And yeah, I try my best to hide them with makeup and other things." Ace says reaching for something and bringing it closer to him and setting it down before taking off his shirt to cover the scars with it. "Sorry, I don't really tell people about them. Mother doesn't even know. The only person to know about them is you." Ace says, finishing up what he was doing then putting his shirt back on and putting the thing away. "I-it's ok." I say. "Please don't tell mother... I don't know if I'll be able to tell her... I don't know if she'll accept a transgender guy......." Ace says. "I won't.. I promise.." I say. Then Ace shoots up and turns his head to the window facing the woods. "Why haven't they left yet?" Ace asks. "They've overstayed their visit." Ace mutters under his breath. "Ight. I'm going outside. Feel free to drink the blood and join me." Ace says getting up and leaving the room, when I looked outside, Ace was already there, walking to the woods. "Oh, he must've used his teleportation." I think as I stand up and I walk to the door. I go downstairs and I go to the door and I think "This should last me about a few hours.... I think". I take the vial out and I open the cap and I drink Ace's blood and I go outside and I start walking to the woods. After a while of walking in the woods, I get a feeling that someone is following me and I turn around and I get tackled down by my dad. I wasn't able to yell for help, he had his hand on my mouth! He started dragging me out of the woods into the light. "I only have 10 minutes left until the blood wears off!!! He's going to kill me!!!" I think as he pins me down in the sun. 9 minutes pass, and I can start to feel the sun begin to burn me. I see something fly past my head and I heard a loud thud of someone hitting the ground, or a wall. I realized that I was no longer being pinned to the ground, and I felt the shade come over me. I sighed in relief.
