So, in honor of Valentine's day (and my own boredom lol), I'm hosting a Q&A! Head over to my message board to see my announcement and ask ANYTHING you want! I look forward to what you guys come up with! XD

That being said, here are a couple questions that have already come in:

✦ SmokyBerries asked: "How do you find inspiration for writing, and how do you keep it during the process?"

Answer: Well, it's a lot of things lol. I often find inspiration from listening to songs or reading other books. If I'm reading a good book, it makes me desperately want to write. XD I also just love creating characters, and I find it's a good way to vent my feelings as well as explore psychology. As you know, I'm currently writing two separate books, so if I'm tired of one, I'll write the other for a while.  Another huge motivator is all the amazing comments people leave on my chapters—they make me really happy, and their excitement for my book transfers over to me. (Actually, your comments have gotten me out of a rut of boredom several times, Blackberry!)

There are definitely times when I'm not inspired at all, though, and sometimes it helps to just stop trying to write and do something else.

I don't always keep inspiration during the process, and that's a sign that I don't like my characters enough or I don't have a good enough plot. I have at least seven books that I've started before and given up on. Also, I found that outlining every little detail of the plot and making a plan for every single chapter really dries out my creativity. For example, in Drowning I have a rough plan of the major events that need to happen, and I know the way the story will end. But, all the little details and cliff-hangers are mostly made up on the fly, and that keeps me engaged in the writing process.

Lastly, the main characters need to feel relevant to me—basically, like writing them can help me let out my emotions. My main characters are often similar to me, and the side characters are usually either based off of someone I know, or have a personality type that I find really interesting. That's part of the reason I have trouble writing Swanpaw in Before Sparks Flew—because she's so different from me, and I get bored with her. Coralfang is most like the unpleasant side of me, the side that I get like when I'm angry. And Briarpaw is a lot like the introverted, lonely side. Writing is my escape; so it also helps to have a setting that intrigues me or that I'm not used to. (I would be bored stiff writing about a kittypet, but a cat who lives on a tropical island? Much more interesting.)

AnYwAy, this got super long, but I hope it helps! <3

✦(This person had a curse word in their username, so I'm not typing it.) asked: "Who's your favorite wolf character?"

Answer: To be honest, I don't read anything about wolves. I suppose if I had to choose, I would say that wolf from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. XD I forgot his name though.

✦ Nyx-Fulminare asked: "What's your favorite animal that's not a cat?"

Answer: Hummingbirds! They're so tiny and adorable. ♥️ I have a feeder, and it's such fun to watch them zip around and fight each other for the nectar. Occasionally, they'll come and hover right by my face inquisitively, which is slightly terrifying, what with their needle-like beaks so close to my eyes, but it's also amazing. Most of them are just a gray-green, but there's always the one ruby-throated male, and gosh, the red feathers are dazzling when the sun hits them. AND THE LITTLE SQUEAKY NOISES THEY MAKE—ahhhhh I just love them.

Welp, that's all for part one, and once more questions come in on my mb I'll post a part two! Bye for now! >^~^<
