On The LookBy Brandon Edosomwan.
Two small, clueless, smart, but brave six-year-old children named Isabelle and Ricky were being traded to Mississippi. Their parents were the first to be seen and the first to be traded. They always comforted them and loved them more than anything in the world, and they still do. But one time Georgia and Jeffery, their parents, walked into the wrong place at the wrong time. They decided not to tell their children when they found out that they were being traded separately. Isabelle and Ricky have been clueless since then. They had no idea.
Isabelle and Ricky, 15 years old, are now free slaves after their master, Ed ZeMont Green passed away from severe cancer. They are all on their own to find out where their parents suddenly disappeared to. Isabelle and Ricky felt they had traveled nearly all across the world, they traveled by walking and a couple of hitchhikes. But still no sign of their parents. Right now they're in West Virginia. They'll soon find out what they've been searching for, their parents.
Isabelle and Ricky were roaming all alone. They were cold and scared. Just two 15 year olds on a journey to find their parents. They stopped by an abandoned farm house. Ricky had a cold and felt terrible. He felt incredibly bad for letting his sister do all the dirty work like hunting, etc, but Isabelle said it was okay. Isabelle was outside, roaming through the woods with her sharply straightened knife, searching for food. She was all alone with some scary things she didn't have a clue was. She heard scary noises. She rushed to her farmhouse in which they've been living, in fright and terror, she thought how would a girl like her be able to do the task of hunting wild animals. As soon as she arrived home, she said she felt lots of pain. She've been complaining about it for weeks. They went to the doctor and the doctor asked several questions. Isabelle said she had been feeling pain. She said she ate lots of salty foods when she got the chance. She felt heartburn and nausea. The doctorsaid it was serious. He said he expects it to be stomach cancer. Now they wondered, what's next.
Ricky had a choice, his parents, or Isabelle. He loved them both more than anything in the world so he had to make the most difficult choice. Isabelle was in risk of dying. Isabelle plead for him not to leave her. He decided to look for his parents he didn't know if they were alive. He haven't seen them in 9 years. He told her that he knew how much she wanted to see them again and so did he. So he decided to search for his parents. He told her he would be back in time. Isabelle was so angry, she wanted to explode. But also scared.
It was 2 months later. Isabelle was slowly dying and so was their dream of spending the rest of their life with their family. When Ricky arrived to the village where he was told his parents lived. He searched and searched and looked everywhere. Until he looked and saw their graves. He was so angry. He cried and sobbed.
He screamed, "Why them! Why them!" He wished he never left his sister in the first place. All the years he and his sister been looking for their parents they've been dead.
He arrives back to look for his sister and sees her laying down near the lake by their farmhouse.
He ran to her and said "Isabelle, Isabelle! Our parents are dead!"
No reply.
"Isabelle I know you're angry but this is important; Isabelle." He saw her eyes closed. He realized what he've done. Isabelle was dead. Ricky had no one left. After all these years of Isabelle protecting him and loving him more than anything, he left her to die.
He saw a note attached to her hand saying, "I wish you never left. I will never forget you."
