( SYNOPSIS . . . . . ! )
❝...we both drowned under the waves of words we weren't saying...❞
—Ben Maxfield

ooo. AMARA NATCHIOS COULDN'T remember what her family sounded like. Their voices all seemed like a void memory in the far back of her mind. She could barely picture their faces let alone their voices.

ooo. It had been too long since she had seen them, she wouldn't be able to tell you how long it had been, Amara herself didn't have a clue. But everyday, every damn day that same question gnawed at her, were they okay? But in this world you could only suspect the worst, that they were dead. That they had become the dead.

ooo.   Eventually, she gave up looking — she gave up caring, because in the end she couldn't care. She had to look out for herself in this whole other world. Not to mention she had to look out for that Goddamn kid she had following her around like a lost puppy. Apparently Amara looked like a damn one-woman-orphanage.

ooo.    From the second Emory Jones met Amara, she clung onto her like a vice. When she watched her mercilessly kill walkers with a hard, stone look in her eye there was a question burning in her mind. Was she trust worthy? Of course she had only just met her, but it was more a question of, would she kill me?
