Boyfriend Hunt

Chapter 2

January 31st

"I hate to be you right now, why didn't you just say the truth? ", Mia asked,
"How do you tell your ex who has a beautiful girlfriend that you are single and you don't actually have anybody and not especially a handsome billionaire boyfriend, well how? ", I asked in a sacarstic tone,
"I don't know", she shrugged,
Mia was in my house and I just got back from the hospital and we were talking in the kitchen. Mia was my best friend and roommate from University and we just continued being best friends.
"Where was all that sass and sacarsm when Alex and his friends were asking personal questions and mocking you", she asked rolling her eyes,
"Well, you see, I got ready for the party, dress on point, hair check, make up banging, shoes slaying, everything shouting I'm that boss babe and I made sure I didn't forget anything, I got to the party still feeling like a boss until he asked that question then I realized I actually forgot the sass and sacarsm at home", I said,
"Tck you always have a sassy answer for everything, anyways how many sales have you made this week? ",She asked changing the topic,
"500 sales this week that means I have earned five thousand Dollars and one of my students just created a course on coding for beginners", I said nonchalantly,
"I have more sales than you this week, wow.. I must really be on grind, I had 600 sales so six thousand dollars", Mia stuck her tongue out and laughed.
We started making money on affiliate marketing in university and we still do this competition every week where the winner with most sales will treat the other to brunch after church.
"Ell, you know that you can actually have the billionaire boyfriend right? I mean look at your WhatsApp flowing with chats from men with cute profile pictures and lots of money, like Daniel, Joseph... Oh oh Victor, go on a date with Victor", she said
"Victor....", I wanted to say something,
"No excuses Ell, just one date", she said,
"Okay, fine", I said not ready to argue,
"Good", she said,
"I only said yes because we have this couple party thingy on February 16th that my ex was throwing in his house", I sighed,
"I guess he really wants to see your man", Mia said making air quotes with her fingers, we continued talking about finding me a new boyfriend and business. Mia is part of her family's business, she handles the headquarters here and since it was closer to my house, she spends the night sometimes.

February 16

"You can't be serious Ell, you made a YouTube video about Victor", Mia said freaking out while I was getting ready for the couple's party that Alex, my ex was throwing,
"It's not that bad, you haven't even watched the whole thing", I said,
"Ell, I have watched it three times, from the start to the finish and what do you mean it is not that bad, the title of the video literally says, "spending 24 hours with a narcissist", that is horrible, now he will never date you", she said throwing herself on my bed,
"That was the plan, now how do I look", I twirled, I was dressed in a dark red flare gown stopping two inches above my knee, black heals with no straps, gold anklets, necklace and rings with my hair pulled back in a low pony tail,
"You look gorgeous as always but the boyfriend issues..", she said and I just know she was worried for me,
"I am going to be fine, I will just say we broke up and it wasn't working out", I said,
"Okay, but if you feel left out call me", she said hugging me,
"Of course", I hugged her back,
"Now let's take pictures", she said dragging me to the balcony.

THE PARTY

I got to the venue, and it was this huge house and the party was happening in the living room so a waiter was there at the door to take me there, red decorations with a little of gold here and there in the hall way and as soon as I entered I felt all eyes on me but then my close friends came up to me and took me to their spot, all of them had dates except me but I wasn't bothered until Alex walked up to me with his beautiful blonde girlfriend in his arms,
"Hello Ella, are you enjoying the party? ", He asked,
"I am", I answered shortly,
"That's good, this is my girlfriend Samantha, baby you know her the ex from high school", he said and the girl smiled,
"Oh nice to meet you", Samantha said,
"Hello, you too", I replied with a small smile but inside I wanted to give someone's son a blow below the belt,
"Ah, where is your date? ", He asked turning his head left and right,
"We actually....", And before I could finish my sentence the door opened and a really good looking man walked in and of course everyone turned to see who it was.
