Okay now that my cry session is over it's time to channel my inner menace.

I start looking around the room I'm in. It's actually quite presentable. The room itself is a pretty decent size; maybe 9 feet across and 6 feet wide? There's a big window on one wall, a door to my right, and another one to my left. I'm guessing neither lead to the outside because they're both cracked open.

The curtains are sheer and opaque leaf designs; not gonna lie that's cool as hell. The walls are off white with a blue undertone, the floor is bowling pine so the house must be older. There's a long wooden dresser with a TV on it along the wall to my left.

I wonder what's through the door next to it? I walk over and cautiously open it. Oh. It's just a closet. I see they've already moved my clothes. I walk out and close the door to investigate the other side of the room.

Along the wall with the main bedroom door to the right is what looks to be a queen sized bed. It has four pillows, two of them have black pillowcases and the other two are a dusty medium purple with vine patterns on them. The bed sheets are black and the comforter is the same dusty medium purple with vines like the pillowcases. I'm sensing someone took a liking to vines.

I pan my eyes over to the far wall with the third door. To the left of the door is a wooden and black metal desk with all of my school materials already on it. How kind. I walk over to the door and again cautiously open it. It's a bathroom. And, again, all of my stuff is already in it.

As I turn to leave the bathroom I see another door. I try to open it but it's locked. Interesting, this must be a Jack and Jill room or maybe it's just another room with important things in it he doesn't want me to see. Whatever, that just means I have to be extra careful. I have a feeling these walls are thin. Why do I have that feeling? I can literally hear them talking about the wedding plans right now.

Quickly my brain shifts into survivor mode and I quietly sprint to my school supplies. I can definitely hide a piece of paper in the midst of all this chaos. With that in mind I start writing down everything I'm hearing of their conversation. I make sure it is heavily shorthanded just in case they find it. I want to have all of the details I possibly can. My escape has to be meticulously planned. Every single possible thing that could go wrong, no matter how small, has to have a plan to prevent it and a plan to fix it should the issue arise. There can be no hiccups. I know my family and I know Adam's family. Since that is fact, I also know how good they are at detecting flaws in their authority over somebody. I have watched countless people get fired for something nobody, not even a bug, knew about. My unwilling acting career starts now I guess.

I am so focused on writing everything down that I almost miss the sound of footsteps coming toward the bedroom door. I quickly hide my notes and take out my study guide for an upcoming quiz. Oh yeah, I'm smart as hell. I might seem calm and collected, my thoughts all together, but on the inside I am far from it. I can legit hear my heart beating right now. I can't let it show though. I must tune into my inner Elsa and "conceal don't feel."

I can hear keys at the door. Oh so it locks from the outside and has a key for it. Good to know. I continue to "study" while listening to the door unlock and someone open the door. I'm curious as to who it might be, but not at the same time. It can't be my mom or dad or Adam, they're still talking in another part of the house. It doesn't sound like any of my mom's or Adam's parents appointed body guards, so who is it?

"Hello ma'am! My name is Ajax. I was sent to retrieve you." The man said.

I have never heard this dude's voice, did they fire someone without me knowing? (For context I have connections within my dad's company that alert me of any staff changes should my parents decide to collect me unwillingly.)
