He stood alone on the edge of everything and nothing, the wind ripping trough his clothes, the rain pouring down. A flash of purple sheet lightning and a rolling crash of thunder lit the undersides of the swollen, grey clouds. One step and it would be over. His troubles, the world's hopes.
It all came down to this.
